I am choosing words from amazing to scrumptious and totally unexpected to wow ! A last minute trip idea brought us past this... spot at just the right time to stop. I'm still so happy at this choice ! Great atmosphere, exceptional staff, and the best foodI've had in a long time. I've chosen to picture a small amount of the 2 appetizers we choose.(there should be prosciutto behindthe peaches but it disappeared too fast) We tried 3 drinks . The one in the photo of the tables bread is a gepetto martini .Dinner was a Mediterranean pasta with goat cheese instead of feta as well as no mushrooms and pasta puttanesca (salmon added).Yes they do shred parmesan at your table . For dessert, which we took home, was a tiramisu. Homemade whipped cream was used whenmaking this delicious finish. Great job !!! Read more

Hugs is an intimate restaurant serving authentic old school Italian cuisine. The seating area is cozy and fills up quickly so... reservations are a good idea, even in the off season. The menu is extensive, serving dinner only. They have a great wineselection and will help you pair a wine with your dinner. Had Hugs cater a party and the food was packaged well, fresh, hot anddelicious. We have also eaten in many times and although it is not expensive it is not inexpensive either. The team is friendlyand helpful. It can be tough to make reservations when they are only open from 4pm on and the phone tends to ring busy, but itis worth the effort. Read more

My wife went there for the second time. Again, the staff and food were excellent. We recommend Hugs as a great place for dinner.

We have been coming to the Loaf for over 20 years and Hug's is always one of our restaurants of choice. Last Saturday night, My... husband, daughter, and her family enjoyed a wonderful meal. But, as good as the food was which was pretty much perfect ourserver Josh went above and beyond to make this an enjoyable evening. He was wonderful to the two children and was so patientwith their ordering choices. My granddaughter had never had the vodka sauce and I knew she would love it, he gave her aspoonful to try. He was attentive but not overbearing. Showed up at the exact right times. This restaurant is a big part inmaking us feel like the Loaf is our happy place. Read more

Authentic old school Italian fare served in a charming/funky/homey setting it friendly, knowledgeable servers (and the owner).... The shrimp in a cream based red sauce with capers and some spiciness in angel hair pasta was perfect. We had an outstandingSicilian wine at our server's recommendation which was memorable. The prices are reasonable. We had great conversations withother diners all evening long. A great place if you are skiing at Sugarloaf. Read more
