i guess majority of these people reviewing come from backgrounds with bland cuisine and no taste, i bought the sultan platter... that feeds 4-5 people and paid around 70. it was so bland and tasteless that my family barely ate it. the leftovers are still inmy fridge untouched, i will probably feed it to my cat. the only decent things were the pita bread and hummus. will never orderfrom here again there are way better mediterranean options. Tasty food. Generous portions. The chef was pretty nice. He greeted us with a cordial smile soon as my family walked in. The... wait time was also not too long. The chef asked how we liked our food and we told him that it was amazing (and it actually was).In the end, the chef took the time to shake each of my family members hands as a sign of gratitude. I got a little emotionalseeing this departure of my new beloved friend, but atlas we will meet again. Would eat here again! Read more

Excellent local Middle Eastern restaurant in Streamwood! I got the Combination Feast, which comes with rice(underneath the... meats) and some vegetables. I also ordered the Felafel appetizer (4), and I got baklava for dessert. Their hot (red) sauce isreally spicy! More spicy than other local pita shops. I loved the hot sauce but it is not for everyone. Get over to Pita BBQfor tasty and delicious Middle Eastern food! They are Zabiha Halal (like Kosher for Muslims). Read more

Downgrading my earlier 5 stars review to 3 due to bad customer service. They don't answer their phones so you can't call ahead... and order plus the red sauce that comes with the serving was ROTTEN!!!! Plus the serving size has been reduced. The food thoughis still good hence the 3 stars. The attached picture is from when I gave a 5 star review. Read more

This was my fifth time eating from this restaurant. I have ordered delivery, eaten in, and ordered takeout. They are... consistently amazing and polite. The owner is super friendly and when asked a question he goes over and above to ensure oursatisfaction. He has always been a pleasure to see when we go in and has consistently cooked the most flavorful middle easternfood we have found in the Chicago area to date. I strongly recommend this establishment is your looking for authentic, flavorfulfood at a very reasonable price. Lunch specials end at 3 so get there before then, come hungry, and enjoy. Read more

The first couple of times I tried Pita BBQ, I was neutral. As a vegetarian, there are only a few items on the menu I can order.... I typically got the Vegetarian Feast, which came with some falafel, babaganoush, hummus, salad, and a pita. I didn't alwayscare for the flavor as it seemed bitter to me. That was then. This is now. While I'm not sure if they have undergone newmanagement, the flavors of the Vegetarian Feast have definitely changed; and for the better. I really enjoyed my order this timearound and will be back soon. My partner, who does eat meat, really enjoys their chicken and gyros. He says they're muchbetter than other local establishments that offer similar fare such as Chiggy's (Brandy's) and Nana's. Read more
