My husband ordered online from City Barbecue last evening. Five dollar off coupon code they sent him to apply would not deduct... from order total which was 34.99. He picks up the order, explains to the girl checking him out the code sent to him did notdeduct the five dollars. She gets the manager who could NOT be bothered to deduct the five dollars and told my husband that itwas deducted already, which was not the truth. The Judges Sampler cost 34.99 and he was charged 34.99. I have the receipt yougave him for order 12730578626314240. The pulled pork and ribs were so over cooked and dry we did not eat them. I had no idea! Wow. What great food and a really nice place. First greeted by a very friendly cashier - Jules and followed up... with a great dinner, will absolutely be back!! Pros: Menu Food quality and taste BBQ sauces, if you like hot try their hot on.Excellent!! Clean tables and restroom Not as busy as other packed places on 82 Cons: Because of the impact of the currentadministration on the economy, like everywhere it?s not inexpensive anymore. This place is great. Food, service and it was very clean. I had 4 meats with 2 sides, 2 toast and a bottle drink for under $30.
Chipotle BBQ, pulled chicken and ribs were my favorite. Loved the corn pudding, potato salad and mac & cheese.
My husband and I went here for lunch over the weekend to use a gift card we had received for Christmas. I went in with low... expectations after reading some of the negative reviews and we generally don't like restaurants where everything is a la carte,but we thought it was very good overall. I thought it was a little overpriced for the amount of food we got and I expected abigger selection of BBQ sauces to pick from, but they had a good variety of things to pick from and the cashier made some goodrecommendations. The only thing I didn't particularly enjoy was the pulled chicken, but everything else was really flavorful --definitely worth trying at least once! Update -- We went here again for lunch today (after we got another gift card) and weenjoyed it even more this time! We tried the City Sampler again, and tried the hush puppies and the french fries this time --everything was fantastic! Read more
Our first time here. Everyone working was very friendly. The guy ringing us up had great suggestions. Everything tasted great,... but my sandwich was super spicy hot. It was supposed to be sweet BBQ, not sure if it was a mistake or maybe this IS the sweetBBQ haha. Definitely would go back. Kind of reminds me of a Chipotle (if they served bbq). Read more
Very nice barbecue restaurant, friendly employees, and very good pull pork. High recommended ordering a pound of meat with bun... to make a nice pull pork sandwich. Have came here again to enjoy a nice dinner. 5 Stars Deserved! Read more
