OMG, I have had my share of bad food in the Poconos, primarily because, for the most part, there is nothing but fast food... places, but boy, was the place terrible. I have never been a fan of the "hibachi" nonsense show, so I just selected to sit at aregular table. The menu is terrible with a capital T, which complements what I was served at 100%. I was served Shrimpdrowning in teriyaki sauce, a side of over-cooked vegetables, and equally overcooked Spaghetti noodles. Yes, spaghetti noodlesmimicking "egg noodles. Oh, but before that, I got a bowl of " clear soup,"... Which was clear alright, as there was nothingbut water, bouillon cube, and 1 (one) piece of sliced dry mushroom, followed by a "salad" of iceberg lettuce drenched in amixture of mayo and ketchup... Really? Now let's talk about the decor; the place was nothing to be desired, dark and dingywhich explains why it was empty. We are from new york. Just moved into town recently and it was my birthday weekend so me and my honey decided that we wanted to... go out to eat and I wanted Hibachi so bad. I looked up and found great reviews about this place and my coworkers also had ravereviews about it. So we went without a reservation as it was only two of us. The young lady at the front was very kind and shetold us that it would be about a 20 minute wait. Of course we expected some sort of wait as there we're at many people thereyet. Most of the people that came in were already in a party of at least six to eight. So we waited about 25 minutes and then wewere sad a few minutes later another party of about 7 came in and they were seated at our table. The chef was wonderful and evenour table mates were great they sang me Happy Birthday and had ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle for free. Ihad the emperor's dish and my honey had chicken and scallops. Everything was delicious the service was wonderful and I can'twait to go again. My favorite thing about this restaurant specifically is the fact that you can have more than just eight peoplein your party the way that the restaurant is set up is that you can have up to about 16 to 20 people because the tables doconnect on one side this makes for a beautiful time if you have a larger party or when family comes in town. I have eaten here 3 or 4 times since moving to this area and the food has always been great. My wife and I ordered two seaweed... salads with our meals, but when we got home we were shocked to find that only the top portion of our cups had seaweed while thebottom half was regular lettuce salad. Idk why they thought this was expectable. I would have much rather they had been honestand said they were running low and just sell us one cup full of seaweed salad that we could have shared. Instead they charged usfor two while serving us about 1/3 worth. Definitely felt played. The rest of the meal was good, but now we?re hesitant to orderfrom there again. Read more
