With only about one-week?s notice, my family and our closest friends, more than 30 of us, converged onto Nostalgia at 3pm, for... an after memorial service happy hour celebration. This was our second visit to Nostalgia. Our first visit was when Nostalgia first opened and we weren't impressed with the... service or the food quality or presentation. A second chance was given. We sat at the bar by choice. Our bartender wasindifferent with no personality. Seemed as if he hated his job. The bar was not that busy so there was no excuse for this poorattitude. We ordered the octopus as an app. Two tentacles placed on a plate with barely any sauce or greens. Unappetizingpresentation. It was just okay. We then ordered the Chef Sampler seafood entree. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our server Robert was phenomenal. We ordered the Beets appetizer was over the top flavor.... Soup Pasta Fagiol was like my Nonna's. How I missed this local gem before is beyond me. Delicious Italian and Greek dishes made perfectly and so tasty. From the... seasoned bread & olive oil, to the drinks, to the entres. Tonight we had Pasta Fagioli and Chicken Rice soups. Then the mosttender chicken parmesan over pasta (any one you want). It was awesome. The sauce was spot on and spiced just right. And,Chicken Milanese that was outstanding. Very nice portions! Excellent martinis, too. Or, have a nice glass of wine. Service wasimpeccable from Natalia. Tonight 8/23/21 it's Robert. True unassuming, attentive, but not over the top service. And, the owner,Tom, checks on everything and even helps the wait staff. He's friendly and everyone makes you feel like family! we spent more than a week in the area and luckily we found this amazing restaurant where we dined every single day. The... atmosphere is just FANTASTIC, large dining room with a spacious bar and outdoor sitting. Whats most important, of course THEFOOD!!! Everything that came out of that kitchen it was OUT OF THIS WORLD! A big THANK YOU to the main CHEF for the tasty dishesand delicious desert! This is a real traditional greek/italian cousine, everything made from scratch and fresh. Those guys arevery passionate about the QUALITY of what they serve.
