Had turkey with stuffing,, mashed potatoes and gravy with cranberry sauce. It's too bad that so many Country Kitchen restaurants... have closed in Iowa. They have good food. I stopped there for breakfast. I just couldnt eat it! I had a skillet and it was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted. Im not a... picky eater either. I ate the cold pancakes and drank my tea. Took two bites of the skillet and about threw up. I told thewaitress I wasnt going to eat it. That it was nasty. So she charged me for my tea and my cold tiny pancakes. JUST so I could godown the road and find somewhere to get breakfast. I am local and I will not return! Read more
Good diner feel and the food was exactly what I wanted. Wait time was kind of long, but with their low prices and good food,... it's worth it. Staff is friendly and accommodated my odd diet. We'll be back! Read more

I gave it 3 stars as the food was delicious but the waitress was by far very rude and I felt literally discriminated against.... When I walked in after driving from Los Angeles heading to Milwaukee. I stood in front and the waitress asked after passing metwice. Yes? And I said it was to go and she literally rolled her eyes and mind you there was no eye contact whatsoever duringthis entire exchange. As I was giving her my order I felt her being annoyed as if I was stealing her time. At which point Ithought we'll maybe she is not having a good day at tables so I said Oh just si you know I will tip you as if I was at a table.That still didn't make her bothered attitude go away. I was listening to the other waitress being joyous and laughing with yhecustomers and I immediately was attracted to her bubbly and personable way of being. I literally had to verbally let her know asshe walked by HI THERE I LOVE YOUR PERSONALITY and with a smile from ear to ear she said WELL THANK YOU..MIND you I was drivingto see my mother who unbeknownst to me had died the day before. I wasn't told because I was on the road to spend time with her.Well this particular waitress..let's call her Beth..really made me feel unwanted, that I didn't belong there, that I wasn'tworthy of service, i felt bad actually for her. As I am certain thar I'm a loving and wonderful human bring that happens to begay and a little feminine..bit I am sure of my worth and my value as a person. Too bad Beth felt thar I wasn't worth hertime..my bill was like 21.00 and I did add a 5.50 tip to the carry out order...moral of the story is...YOU NEVER KNOW WHATSOMEONE IS GOING THROUGH OR WHAT WILL THEY HO THROUGH AFTER YOUR SERVICE..SO BE KIND BE GENTLE AND SMILE WARMLY..AS YOU COULDVERY WELL MAKE THEIR DAY OR BE PART OF A SERIES OF HORRIBLE EVENTS...ONE SMILE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD. 1 star for truck parking. The food was so bad I couldn't even finish it and ended up walking out. The menu has completely... changed based on the other pictures so don't go by those. Most of what you see in those pictures they don't have. The fries wereoverly battered and chewy. The broccoli was cold. Country fried steak was barely warm and I had to grind through the toughbreading. A couple of bites of each and I was done. The lemonade was not Country Fresh or country at all. It was like it wasMinute Maid from a soda tap. The house music was good but turned down low and you could hear other music blaring from thekitchen, and it wasn't pleasant music to listen to. Overall I did not have a great experience and I will never be back thereagain. Read more
