Nice decor and space on the inside. Took over 35 minutes at the bar to get a drink and 20 of those was me on the counter holding... my credit card out. Well tequila was watered down and I paid $6 for a coke and they gave me diet coke instead, did not evenbother to mention to me that they did not have coke. Will not be back Read more

Very tasty tacos ???? . Very clean restaurant and service was fine. They have outdoor seating. There is also a lounge upstairs... that looks like it can be fun. Read more

Insanely delicious tacos. Perhaps the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. I got the mix and match 5 tacos and every one of them was... interesting and incredibly inspired and flavorful. The meat was spiced perfectly and the salsa had just the right balancebetween spicy and delicious. The tortillas were sturdy and didn’t fall apart and they were also soft fresh and not at alldry. The bartender/server was incredibly friendly and quite helpful and attentive. The service was really fast I was in and outin under 15 minutes which is crazy considering how good and visually pleasing the food was. I will definitely be coming backhere just for the food alone. The drinks looked fantastic as well. The interior was tasteful and clean. Great location in studiocity and the food came out fast as well. They had a fully stocked and clean gorgeous bathroom with a cool pattern of tiles onthe walls that made it look as though I was in a German expressionist painting. I like the balance of bar to restaurant and thefact they were open at ten though I believe they closed at 1030. Read more

I've been looking for a place like this in Los Angeles for a very long time. I've had really good BBQ from places like Bludso's,... Lucille's and Horse Thief and even though they have delicious food in their own right, I personally rate a BBQ joint on how goodtheir brisket is. I compare brisket to Texas BBQ like Franklin's or the Salt Lick where you have that crusted char, pink smokerings and butter-like consistency. Honestly, Barrel and Ashes is the closest to having Texas-style BBQ without going toTexas. Even if you're not into brisket like I am, every piece of meat I've had from Barrel and Ashes was delicious, even theMary's BBQ chicken had a great crust and was ridiculously juicy. Also, dont get me started on the fall-off-the-bone ribs. Ienjoyed the interior of the restaurant as well as all the different kinds of Bourbon they had available. Started with orderingthe dry-rubbed wings and Stetson Lime Rickey for happy hour. For the main entree I ordered 3 different meats which came withcollard greens and baked beans as well as mac n cheese. I tried everything and loved everything, and would like to try the rest. I like this place. It's not Texas BBQ... Which I hate. A lot. They do have banana pudding which I LOVE. A LOT; it's pretty good... too. Definitely on my list of BBQ spots in the valley. The bar is cool. Good spot to watch a game. Read more

Loved the atmosphere and the smoked smell. Some of the Rib Tips was tough according to my husband; I found them to be flavorful.... I loved the "Damn Best Chicken Sandwich", that was awesome; a little messy but awesome . The Brisket Sandwich was also good;love the BBQ Sauce. The side of Greens and Mac n Cheese was also awesome; enough for two to share. The only reason I did notgive (5) stars is because some of the meat was tough, but not my chicken. Read more
