Visited this place about a month ago. The service was fine and our server was nice. Honestly a fine clean place and it looks... fancy for a date. (I have a very positive comment at the end) I think my only complaint is for all fancier restaurants with moreexpensive food, including this place; I feel the slightest upset that this place didn't have the food quality that I expect forwhat I am paying for. Like this place had food that was cooked fine with flavor that was just fine. But I chose this placebecause it seemed fancier and I see the food is more expensive but it just tastes like if I went to an outback steakhouse. Ifeel like higher prices mean better tasting food but it was just ok. I do not think I am exaggerating, this is my honestopinion. I think I might return one day and I am glad I visited. There was a venue right outside that has rock nights withdrinks, games, and live music. That was great and you should definitely go to see it. Read more
We had heard of this place from friends as a ?sister restaurant? of RYE Restaurant, our favorite Appleton restaurant! So of... course we had to try?and we?ll be back! Like RYE, they have nailed approachable fine dining. Comfortable dining room, excellentservice (our server was Michael ????????????, but the whole staff was very attentive and courteous), and the food was creativeand delicious! Chives is probably the best spot I've had in Green Bay. The service is great and the food is too. Not to mention it's one of the... only elevated cuisine spots I've found in upper Wisconsin. I'm sure I'll be back. @dietproof Read more

I heard a lot about this place and it certainly has its charm. I loved the decor and quaint feel of the bar. It was small and... busy but not crowded. They have a great selection of alcohol and a nice wine list. We started with east coast oysters andchicken and goat cheese wontons. Both were exquisite. We skipped soup and salad and went straight for the main course. Themonkfish was perfectly prepared and the compliment of Chinese seasonings gave it a unique flavor. The potato croquettes on thedish had a great crunch and creamy center. The chicken Marsala was a little disappointing as it was over cooked and I wasunable to finish it. Oh my gosh. So, Chives was a Google find while looking for places to celebrate a birthday. I called for a reservation and Luke... was super friendly. We arrived and our table was ready. Megan was our server and was so fun, attentive, and friendly. She hadrecommendations and paced our celebration dinner perfectly!! We ordered the Trio Appetizer to try a little bit of everything!The crab cake was crabby, the mushroom bruschetta is how bruschetta should be done, and the wontons were crispy and creamy. Thenwe got the Asparagus Salad with poached eggs...WOAH!! The textures and combination of flavors was fantastic!! For our mainentrees, we ordered the Swordfish and the Steak Fritte. Two words...MINDS. BLOWN. The Swordfish was cooked perfectly and had somuch flavor! The Steak Fritte was enhanced with the Niman Ranch New York Strip. The garlic butter was so freakin' good...and thesalad it comes with was perfect to balance the flavors. Then to celebrate, we ordered the Belgian Chocolate Chip Cookies. Meganput a candle in it for the birthday. The cookies were warm, the hit fudge was some if the best we've had in a long time and theice cream was smooth! Amazing meal! We got in town and called to make a reservation and they said the first available was at 8:30. We thanked them and... said that we would come again. Started looking for another place for dinner and about 15 minutes later Chives called back andsaid that they had a cancellation and could take us at 7:15. I call that above and beyond customer service. The meal did notdisappoint. We were told by locals that this was the place to go and wow, were they right. One word to describe thisplace?..amazing!
