OHHHH MY ITS still amazing food . Haven't lived in Sudbury for over 4 years . First week back I'm trying all my old favs. This... restaurant ranks top 3 in Sudbury for me . Just mouth watering amazing flavor , huge portions all for under 20 bucks . Or 20with a tip. I had Jerk Chicken on rice , oxtail gravy and some slaw . Man what a great supper . Now I should get back to itbefore it gets cold, if you've never tried this this is as close as you're getting to Jamaican food without being there . My second visit. Ordered the small oxtail dinner with rice and coleslaw, same as last time. So beyond delicious. The first time... I ordered a roti shell on the side. Very good as well. The coleslaw was the perfect side. Crisp, fresh and not over dressed. Asmall dinner was a generous serving. Plenty for one. Both times have had leftovers for lunch. Even better the nextday. I ordered Curry Chicken plate soo delicious beats Scarborough's Chris Jerk Chicken spot!! Love the plantains here as they were... sweet most places are not sweet too bland!! The minute you walk in the door you?re just taken with the delicious smells of amazing food waiting for you. Alice is... fantastic, super friendly & very patient as we figured out what we wanted to order. In all honesty, we pretty much wanted toorder everything lol We settled on 3 daily specials for $10+tax each and a small shrimp for my little person. Don?t let thecontainer size fool you, it was a lot of food per order but so good & filling. Just the right amount of heat with the sweet &the in house hot sauce is fantastic!!!!!! We all shared a little from each container & not one complaint. Simply delicious fromthe jerk chicken to the curry chicken, curry shrimp & the sauce & gravy over the rice ?.. killer. Was super happy to find a carribean establishment in this town. I called ahead to make sure there was plantain. Upon arrival,... there was not a menu for me to reference. I paid $18 for a SMALL oxtail with rice and peas and was served what u seen in thatpicture. A half meal. As for the plantains they actual do not cut slice them in fact they cut them into small medallions ( likesliced cucumbers) and then charge 3 for $1. Not pleased with the amount of food I got for what I paid. Taste wise the rice npeas can gwan ... mac was not good... jus pasta n miracle whip no veg in it or flavor. N the oxtail was ok as well. We really enjoyed the authentic Caribbean flavors at this hidden gem! Juicy smokey jerk chicken, rich oxtail and flavorful goat... and chicken curry. They also have roti we have yet to try. Amazing! I eat here often. The staff is very quick and very friendly. I always get the festivals. When you go make sure you dip... them in any left over gravy with your food. The coleslaw is always fresh and they make it in house. There isn?t anything likethis in Sudbury!! If your taste buds are bored with the bland food around town you have to go here.
