This restaurant has a really bright ambiance and when we arrived it was full of customers. There were probably 3 waiters but the... service was quite slow. We waited for a while to finally get our water and a long time for the food to arrive. Thank god theyprovided the free side dishes otherwise we would be hangry lol. Scallop Tofu Soup Medium Spicy - 5/5 we love it! It was hot andspicy with good flavour. They gave you a raw egg to pair with. Seafood Pancake - 4/5 Crispy and not oily at all. I appreciatethe big shrimp in the fillings. The flour could be thinner and the green onions could be more. Ingredients were lacking a littleexcept for the big shrimp. Galbi BBQ 3/5 tasted like Char Siew but too much fats and hence too oily and difficult to eat. Notmuch meat. Chicken and Seafood Hot Stone Bibimbap 1/5 We did not finish this it was just too oily! There was a pool of oilunderneath the rice. We expected more vegetables. There were 3 empty oyster shells without oyster in it. The chicken pieces weredry. The 2 shrimps were not shelled nor deveined and tasted dry, might not be fresh. Btw, having shell fish in Bibimbap is a badidea. Read more

an absolute gem in Sugar Land for tasty Korean food. They have an extensive menu with meal options that includes with a soup, a... meat, a bowl of rice and side dishes. In our experience, it?s was plenty of food for 2 adults to share. we like add one oftheir seafood, kimchi or oyster pancakes to share, which comes hot and so crispy. Their Korean fried boneless chicken is one ofmy kids? favorite and go to order. They are very flavorful, very crispy and comes in a big portion. Overall, everything we?veordered here have been divine and we?ve never been disappointed. Ample parking, lots of seating, food comes out quickly andgood service. Offers a 5% discount for cash payments. Read more

We went here for dinner. I have tried Veggie version of Jang Guem Ramen in Hot stone pot and vegetables pancake. Both of them... tasted pretty good. I had ordered the ramen to be spicy ( level 4 on a scale of 5) assuming that i can handle it. But it isactually spicy. Watch out for this before you order the spice level. Read more

First time coming here for 'dinner'. Have always been here for lunch and loved the bento portions. We ordered the scallop soup... with bbq chicken . The soup was flavourful but was way too hot (temperature) to handle. The veggie pancake was really good.Overall is good ! Read more

A cozy Korean restaurant in the 99 Ranch and Jusgo shopping center. Side dishes served in a tray. Tofu is soft, though the... soup can have more flavours and layers. Jiang Jang noodles have a sweeter touch. Friendly staffs. Preferred this location toits Chinatown one, in service, food, and ambiance. (Note: no beers/alcohol sold in stores, though can BYOB). Love the location in Bellaire so had to the Sugarland one. We were seated and served quickly. We ordered the Korean BBQ (sliced... galbi) and kimchi fried rice with bulgogi. We had a lot of banchan to eat while waiting, and the servers were attentive andoffered to refill our sides multiple times throughout our dinner. The food came out quickly within 5-10 minutes. The galbi wasperfectly cooked with some nice charred pieces that my fiancé loved. I really enjoyed the kimchi fried rice, and the bulgogiwas tender and very flavorful. They always give gigantic portions! Be sure to grab dessert next door at SomiSomi to end a nicedate! Read more

Jang Guem is one of my favorite places to eat right now! The portions are large and delicious, the servers are very friendly and... attentive, and the restaurant is clean and inviting. I really like that they have a lot of variety with their tofu soup, I'mslowly making my way to trying them all. The dumpling soup is my favorite so far but I LOVE dumplings. Today I ordered shrimptempura, bulgogi, and the dumpling soup. It of course comes with rice and a tray of things to snack on before the meal. Idefinitely suggest eating here! Read more
