This is a lovely restaurant situated beside the waters. It has great decor and friendly staff. We ordered: 1) sashimi deluxe 2)... California roll 3) Philadelphia roll The food was overall just okay and the sashimi seems to be lacking a umami taste. It wasquite disappointing given the great location of the restaurant. The food and service was excellent! We found our new spot. We’ve experienced many other sushi restaurants with mediocre food... and really poor service. We used to settle for just okay, but no longer have to since we’ve found Takara! The wait staffwere very kind, attentive, and took the time to guide us through the menu. We didn’t get to take pictures of all we ordered,but everything was fresh and delicious! From the nigiri to the cooked dishes everything was on point. Visited a few times before the Pandemic hit for happy hour. Off early today driving by and thought I would give a quick drop in... to see if that great happy hour was still happening. Walked in and immediately noticed a different place! Sushi bar nicely laidout with a side drinking bar area. Restaurant seating available with a beautiful outdoor patio view of the lake! Takara is delicious. This place definitely surprised us. We came here for lunch and ordered a variety of plates from appetizers... to sushi to mains and even desert. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was their spin on beef carpaccio. Also, our server was verysweet and attentive. The food was quick and she always kept our drinks full. Read more
