When I'm in Amish country, perhaps I make the incorrect assumption that being surrounded by farms will lead to the restaurants... using simple, clean, and local ingredients for their food. This review is based upon lunch my wife and I had which consistedof: a cheeseburger with fries a pulled pork sandwich a side of coleslaw a side of macaroni salad This restaurant is located onthe second floor of a large building. You have to order at a counter. There were not many items on the menu. A few sandwichesfor lunch, a few breakfast options. I asked the young lady at the counter if the burger was good and she replied: "It's ok."(she was honest!) After ordering our food we were surprised that the sides of coleslaw and macaroni salad were prepackaged inplastic containers and that we had to walk to a cooler to get them. Seeing as there was a huge kitchen area behind the counter Ifigured they'd spoon it out of bowls directly to us, but this was not the case. As we waited for our sandwiches and fries tocome out, we sampled the coleslaw and macaroni salad. I love coleslaw when properly made. Unfortunately after one taste of thisridiculously SWEET slaw, I went to the garbage to drain the liquid in which the slaw was bathing. Unfortunately this did notimprove the slaw and it was a literal "throw away." Prior to its disposal I read the ingredient label and was surprised to seeHIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP as one of the mayonnaise ingredients. Again, you're in Amish country, USE REAL SUGAR (but that's justmy opinion). I don't eat macaroni salad, but my wife is something of an aficionado. She took one bite and it too entered thegarbage receptacle. Her opinion: "flavorless, and obviously low quality ingredients." (there's a theme....) When the sandwichesarrived I went the the toppings cart (which WAS very nice and even included crumbled blue cheese) and put the standards on myburger. While the burger certainly was edible (especially with the condiments), it did remind Read more

We visit Amish country often but were not aware of this cafe and were pleasantly surprised. Large seating capacity, friendly... staff, and the food was exceptional and reasonably priced. I got chicken salad on croissant with potato salad, hubby got a greatburger and big portion of waffle fries. We will definitely be eating there again Read more

My Dad and my Husband got the Reubens and really liked them. They have a nice build your own bowl/wrap or salad that they will... plate up for you. You order your food and get a beeper to get it when it's done. There is lots of seating and it is decoratedwirh lots of old memorabilia. There is an elevator that is located inside the store about 50 feet from the entrance. It was arough walk for my dad so I got him a cart to lean on. Read more
