So impressed with DKI. It was 7:40 and I wanted to take my parents out for dinner. Drove up and noticed they closed at 8. Went... in and asked if they would mind if we ate there, if they had time. Food was outstanding. Service needed work. New server, so 20 min and a reminder for our drinks. Another 15 min wait to get... to go boxes for our food. Automatically adding 20% to our check for a TIP was VERY off putting. Food was amazing though. Nexttime we go we will ask for Sherri as our server. Read more
Drove by so many times without stopping. Finally stopped. Had chicken dinner and fried clams. So good. Fries hot and fresh. ... Mashed potatoes good. Rolls to die for. Unfortunately no room in our stomachs for pie or ice cream will definitely be comingback. Loved our server too Read more
Well the outside was inviting for sure. We drive by once a month and were intrigued. So we decided to stop in. Very spacious... and lots of taxidermy. We walked up to the counter the lady said hold on because she was confused, we said no worries take yourtime. We finally got a buzzer and sat to wait until if went off. We then got sat down one person took our drink order andanother took our food order. I asked our server if I could get the spinach wrap with no egg add cheese, "OH sure hun no problemwe can do that." She then turned to my friend who tried to order a salad with steak on it from a steakhouse and was told theystopped doing that the day before we arrived. That should have been the sign to up and leave but nope we stayed. She ended upordering the toasted ravioli. Our server then turned back to me and asked me what I would like to order, I didn't say anythingbut was pretty sure I ordered first. So I asked for a spinach wrap with no egg add cheese and a side of broccoli so like 10minutes later the ravioli arrived and that's all. We went ahead and made a to go order to eat later. Another 20 minutes myspinach and onion wrap arrived with no bacon,no cheese and no dressing.. So many huns later she requested either half price or anew one made, I requested she just bring out what was supposed to be on it. Well it all came out in plastic cups. The bacon haddried grease on the side and was cold. The dressing looked like dirty dish water. I then made my own wrap only ate half cuz theonions were plentiful and kickn'. The broccoli was frozen but once again I did not complain. Once we got our to go order it wasincomplete and very skimpy. Once again no complaints because we followed the directions on the door to be patient with them butwe will not return here in the future. The chili was fantastic. We ordered the chicken sandwiches. They were huge and nicely breaded and crispy without being greasy.... They even asked my daughter if she wanted her 3/4 full lemonade to go - nice touch! Read more
It was okay. My wife had the Catfish, it was pretty good. The Fried Zucchini was good and the Deep Fried Cheese Balls. I didn't... care for the Deep Fried Cheese Balls the Cheddar cheese was too strong for my taste. My son and I had Sirloin Steaks. They werealmost burnt, over grilled. Maybe better for dinner. Service - ok. Ordered hot chocolate & slushy, had to remind to get. Food came after other?s who got... there after us?one even ordersame as me. Food - ok. Wish when establishments gave menu that what was on menu, is what isavailable. I hate hearing ?not available ? on multiple items when selecting from menu. Atmosphere - great. Good decor.
