Reviews for Hollier's Cajun Kitchen in Sulphur, LA
Our waitress was awesome and patient with us. Very attentive. Order the Chicken breast strips, very moist on the inside, with... not too much batter..perfect. My date ordered the chicken fried steak, very tasty. Read more
Never felt so humiliated. Although there was seating available in the main dining area, I was sat in the back by the restrooms.... I was the only person in the back and just so happened to be the only African American in the restaurant at that time. Reallyfelt like I was in the "Colored Only" section. No one checked on me for drink refills or even acknowledged my presence. I willnever go there again. Read more

Really didn't see what the hype is with this restaurant. I did eat from the buffet so I can only speak on it. It was horrible.... Itsy bitsy shrimp like what you buy in the frozen section. Gumbo tasted like vegetable beef soup in a can. Crabs were good.Maybe ordering off the menu is better. But I won't be back. Read more
Really loved this place. Went with a friend and enjoyed the buffet. Got there right when the buffet opened and everything was so... hot and delicious. I was surprised to see that there was only two other people there. For quality cajun buffet I would eat hereanytime. Plus the staff were incredibly friendly. Definitely plan on coming back. Read more
I would recommend this place! The food was great!! The waitresses for our group were super helpful and friendly. The only reason... for 4 stars is because they had a pretty big problem with getting orders mixed up. But we enjoyed the food, the meals were huge! Read more
Everything was great, only bad thing was our waitress kept disappearing for long amounts of time we had to get other waitresses... to help us. The food an environment were awesome. Real Louisiana food! Read more
We stopped at a hotel west of Lake Charles on the way to Austin. We drove around looking for a restaurant in Sulfur. We found... Hollier's open and ate there. It is a casual comfort local restaurant. There is a food buffet that had chicken, etouffee andsome other stuff. We decided against the buffet and ordered from the menu. The dinner salads were small, simple, and thelettuce was clean. I had a bowl of chicken sausage gumbo that was good and full of protein. The lady had seafood gumbo that wasspicier but didn't have much content besides the broth. Each gumbo came with rice and potato salad. She also ordered a bakedpotato that was fresh. The son and I ordered shrimp po'boys and fries. We should have split one as they are Yuge. They weregood. The fries seemed seasoned and were okay. Simple place. Basic food. Good enough. The service was very good. Read more
