This place has a ventilation issue where the entire interior of the building is filled with smoke from the kitchen. Looks like... I'm back in the 90's when everywhere was the smoking section. That being said, this place is ????. Their chicken has been someof the best Golden Chick I have ever had (with the exception of one visit). Defintely some of my comfort food and would eatagain! Just stopped by and tried ordering food. This unprofessional lady made excuses when I ordered fried cat fish she said her fryer... is broken and can't fry catfish. So I then asked her if her chicken and French fries since she said her fryer is broken. Sherather serve me old friend chicken that's been sitting there for hours . Store don't closes for another 35 min . I guess that'sher way of refusing service cause it's almost close time. Attitude needs some serious adjustment along with customer serviceneeds major work. I ordered the spring meal deal with extra sides and rolls. Paid about $15 extra for the sides. Which was fine, except we are... just having chicken and okra tonight. They forgot to send the mashed potatoes, gravy, and macaroni and cheese. Even after askingof it was all there. Manager is very rude! And she will charge you for a free icecream. Don't go there! A few years ago, my family and I would travel through Sulphur quite frequently. We would all look forward to... stopping at Golden Chick. Great Food. Great Service. Last evening we were passing through Sulphur and looked forward tostopping and eating at the G. C. Alas, the Golden Chick should now be renamed to the Dirt Chick. Nothing golden about thisplace anymore. We ordered the 2 piece fish with 3 shrimp and a 3 piece chicken dinner. See photos. All of this for 25 bucks. The 2 pieces of fish are smaller than the shrimp and were mostly batter, not fish. The chicken "leg" was more like a wingstump. They must be raising miniature chickens around here some place. Sorry to say, Golden Chicken has been removed from mylist of establishments to visit. Read more
Food is good but $10 for tinders are size of my thumb is a joke. but we just went in drive thru 1:15 minutes before closing they... was all so rude even the shift leader or Manger lady you can her her complain to her workers about making new rolls or foodbecause they close in a hour. Then one of the workers with braids was standing by register scratching her hair and then startedto blow her nose multiple times in the area close to food,it's just poor management and leader ship. After we got home we openour gravy and has clumps of something in it when it should be just gravy. Read more
1 Star ONLY because the food tasted good. From the time I walked in door I was less than impressed. I ordered at 11:45a so I... don't think it was from a rush of people. The floor was disgusting at the front counter (later seen behind the counter as well),the employee was less than enthused to be there (not rude but definitely not customer service oriented), The tea counter andsoda fountain were nasty. I will add photos, you have to zoom in to see but look at the hot roll steamer glass, the counter withtea canisters and the soda fountain. 3 pc chicken tender sandwich combos: Extremely small tenders and chicken was cold. Taste was good enough considering... Ordered... pickles on sandwich but didn't receive any. Okra was fresh and hot but boyfriend's side salad was NOT good. Lettuce was veryslimey and there was no fork. He requested Italian dressing but was given a ranch and a thousand island dressing packet instead.Soda's were packed with ice. Not the best experience overall. The prices I understand go up to accommodate the economy. However it costs my husband and myself always between 25 and 30... dollars for basic meals. 2 pieces each with 1 side. When we open the small box and look at the food 'crammed' inside it, is justdisappointing and unappealing. We are not the only ones who feel all this. People talk in a small town.
