My partner and I decided to celebrate our 3 year anniversary at Yumi sushi. Big mistake. We got the buffet. Ordered a total of... 13 things, only got 8 of the items. Waited over an hour for 3 of those items and 30 minutes for 2 of them While we were there,the wait for food was very long, they continued to sit large groups of people. My partner had to remind the staff of sauce thatcomes with the food. She also had to bring the missing 5 items to their attention. Got 3 of the items, never saw the other twoitems. This is the nightmare I had of eating there. We went there for lunch and booked a table for 11 people. Like before every time we... went to a Japanese Sushi buffet as a big group of people, we ordered two-three times with a limited amount per time as we didn?twant our table full of dishes, but ever since the second round, the man started keeping threatening us that they would chargeextra if any food were wasted. It?s annoying because that was a bad and hostile attitude, with no mention that we were notwasting any food. Feel like they are offering a buffet service, but they hate you if you eat much and would keep eyes on you.Even though we finished everything in the end only left one single dumpling and one single roll. The woman came over andinsisted that we had to finish. Otherwise, she would charge this one dumpling and roll on us or we couldn?t leave. This is themost malicious and ridiculous thing I?ve ever met! We still finished per their request; meanwhile, I expressed clearly that thiswas an extremely unhappy experience in their restaurant, and we were treated unproperly. You won?t believe what happened next,the man rushed over and started to take pictures of us, we got furious and asked him why he was taking pictures of us. I have tried many all you can eat restaurants across Canada and was greatly disappointed by the amount of rice given per piece.... The sushi was basically a mountain of rice covered with a tiny piece of fish. I will admit that the fish tasted fresh andamazing and if they had half the amount of rice per piece it would've been top notch. This place is fantastic. I didn't know what to expect, I just wanted sushi as I hadn't had any in years. I arrived without... looking into it too much, but I was very impressed. The best part was, they have an all you can eat option. Great experience,will be back for sure. Read more

On a Friday evening myself and a friend arrived at 8:15, knowing they closed at 9. We were greeted and asked to wait. 5 minutes... later the hostess returned and told us that since they already called last call - they wouldn?t be able to seat us and couldonly order take out. This was incredibly disappointing as we dropped in for a late supper while biking. Hungry and limited forrestaurants at that point we ordered it to go. I was then further disappointed by the super thin slices of sashimi I was givenin my order. I ordered a crispy spicy salmon roll and I told them this is not the one but the server insisted this is what I order. I didn't... taste any salmon and they forgot to put the sushi I ordered. I think it's fair to say you're getting what you pay for here. For an all you can eat buffet at $15, the quality made sense. We... had excellent service and everything was well explained to us. The space was large and clean, and our food came quickly. Theyhad a good selection of menu items. I think if we had paid more I wouldn't have been happy with the quality, but at the priceit's decent. If you're looking for higher end, look to a pricier menu for sure. Read more
