Mr. Sauce was great! He was good at his job, funny and attentive. I never had an empty drink and he knew when to hang out and... talk and when to let us continue our conversation. He also made great dessert recommendations. The sushi was also really good. All around a great evening out. Read more

Always go here for my granddaughters birthday. She turned 5 this year. She loves the show with fire and the shrimp.

We used to eat here 3-4 times a month, the prices have went up so much that's not an option anymore. 2 adults & 2 small kids is... close to $200, they also used to have discounts for certain professions. I also agree with others saying the portions havedecreased also. It's been like it for a while but the stickiness needs to be fixed. The tables on the sushi side aredisgustingly sticky. The service and food always taste good. Read more

So we were greeted upon entering the restaurant. We frequent this place or so we used to. We decided to go to the non hibachi... side today. Our server Ms Ginger was very kind and pleasant. The menu prices have drastically increased since our last visit 8months ago. We had no wait to be seated and minimal wait for the food. Refills were not as punctual as you might expectthough. Restaurant capacity on the non hibachi side was maybe 15%. 2 servers working. We have nothing at all bad to saytowards the server. She was on point, always smiling, made the pleasant conversation you would expect. BUT. The tables werevery sticky, the floor was sticky and my shoes talked to me. We did get a high chair for our 10 month old. It was sticky aswell. The taste of the food was not what we used to get from this place. I hate to say it but the food from the Northwoodsmall was larger portioned and better taste for half the price. 2 drinks 2 adult dishes and 1 kids dish was still $88. Inprevious settings of this restaurant this would have been acceptable but no longer. Portion size has decreased substantiallyand the flavor is not the same. If this message to the managers/owners is not taken seriously. This place may be on the vergeof closing. It will take a serious revamp of this location if it is to succeed. Prices have increased at this place 2xs in thepast year. The only explanation from this perspective would be lack of business and an attempt to recover revenue. I regret tosay this will probably be my last visit to this place. It pains me to say again in all seriousness the Japan food from the mallat this point is much more pleasant. Read more

Food was good overall. However, the chef relied heavily on soy sauce which over powered whatever seasoning he used, making some... of the food quite salty. Read more

Honestly, the worst part was the wait! It was my sisterfriend's birthday dinner and we reserved here for 630 but didn't get... seated until an hour later. There was no point in the reservations when we had to wait so long. Then there was one young ladywho was very rude and had a little smart mouth when the issue was being addressed. If folk reserve a spot for a certain timeslot it should be set aside for them...period. Our party was on time. Besides that and the inability for the hostess to expressproper customer service, it was okay. Our chef made it better, but I am sure it will be a while before I return. Shout out toChef Big Tasty and the manager from that night for her willingness to resolve the issues! Read more
