Asthetically: The tables were dirty, the floors were super sticky. The "white" gauzy curtains were stained terribly and looked... like someone used them to sop up tea or gravy from the table. The table decorations were coated in a layer of dust and grime.Each of our plates had huge chips broken out of them. Service: The server was brisk,unfriendly, but competent. He did make sureto refill our drinks when he brought the food out. Outside of that he didn't smile or speak except for announcing thefood/drinks. Even when we thanked him, there was no response. Food: The food was pretty good. Standard southern country/soulfood. Well cooked, seasoned, and reasonable portions. Prices were well set for the type and amount of food. Read more

Food is pretty good just the portions are small. I had the cornbread, macaroni, honey chicken which were 4 little chicken wings... and a slice of red velvet cake. $21 for this plate. While I didn't mind the price, the portion size is not worth the money. Twolittle tiny pieces of cornbread literally the size of a match box, about a 1/2 cup of macaroni and 4 small wings that didn'thave that much honey on them. Cake was okay. It left me wanting more. My second time here. The food and service is amazing. If you are new to Sumter as I am, and want some good Soul food come here.... The tea, cornbread, chicken, greens are Devine? great place for the family to come and enjoy some great food. Read more

Talk about being treated like FAMILY! We drove up from FL to meet with our cousins for dinner and WOW Jeffrey is an amazing chef... and host! Such a sweet welcome, the fried fish was the best I?ve had perfectly seasoned and lightly breaded. The shrimp andgrits absolutely delicious creamy and so flavorful.
