I had a different experience than others who have left reviews, obviously. The parking lot was packed with cars which I took to... be a good sign. The interior was quite welcoming and my server was very friendly. I particularly enjoyed reading about thenamesake of the restaurant on the back page of the menu. For my meal, I ordered a ribeye, medium, along with sautéed mushrooms,loaded mashed potatoes and a house salad. The salad was less than appealing due to the wilted lettuce that had been sitting longenough to brown on the edges. Now, I will say the croissant with honey butter was very tasty and I enjoyed it very much despitethe lackluster salad. When the main course arrived, the potatoes were less than warm and the steak was overcooked. I broughtthis to my server?s attention so she took it away with the assurance that another would be out shortly. Another person, amanager perhaps, brought the replacement and kindly asked me to cut into it to verify that it had been cooked to order: it wasnot. It was also overcooked to the point that she even admitted that it looked ?medium well to well done?. I kept the second andate the only parts that had any pink and she graciously discounted the meal. All in all, I don?t think I would return if givenanother chance but I hope others have a better experience in the future. Read more
Husband and I, and MIL, went for an early dinner. He had eaten there a few times. We arrived and were quickly seated. I... ordered their Willie Sue Dinner Salad and their loaded potato soup. Our server brought my soup and it looked great, butappeared to be thick and it was. I did eat it and found it to be tasty, minus the lack of liquid. Our server asked me about itand I informed her it was thick and she agreed it looked like it. I then received my salad and enjoyed it, as well. Pricey, yes,but it was good. Our server was great to accommodate my MIL, who had veggies that were not completely cooked. The best part ofmeal were the croissants! We even brought home an order. Will go back again. Read more
Our server was awesome. The food was very very good. Only reason for the four stars is if I?m paying almost 17$ for a salad... you?d expect more than four bites of chicken. The salad itself was excellent aside from the lack of chicken. My four year oldhad steak tips (which were amazing by the way) and he had more protein on that plate than I did in my expensive salad. Myhusband had the ultimate burger and loved it and the cheesecake (NY with canned strawberries) was very good. Again though. IfI?m paying 8.50 for a slice of cheese cake it would be nice to have fresh fruit and not canned. So excellent service, very goodfood with a few disappointing shortcuts. We will be back though. So?the Restaurant was empty but we were told it was an hour wait. The bartender was completely off putting and we had to... convince her to be nice?fried green tomatoes are everything Meatloaf Nachos?ummm?I don?t get it. Amber (like her eyes) shouldrun the entire place!!! Read more
Great beer, great food, loved the catfish bites. Well done everyone. Personally would put the catfish bites worlds above the... shrimp but I know I wasn't at a seafood restaurant. My salad was amazing and will return sometime in the future. Read more
Despite the negative reviews, we went here for lunch. There were 4 of us, and we all had amazing meals. I?m not sure why people... say there is no flavor in the food, but our food was delicious. I?m not sure if they have different cooks in the kitchen ondifferent days, but everything we had was wonderfully seasoned and cooked. Our waitress, Brittany, was a joy as well. (Thehostess could have been more peppy and polite, but we all have bad days so maybe she was in a funk that day.) We were only intown temporarily, but I would definitely go back to this restaurant if we are ever here again, and I would recommend it toothers. Read more
