The food here is fantastic! I came with friends and we all really enjoyed our meals. I chose the pot roast that was on special... but there were several other options I want to try on my next visits. Great drinks too. They have discounts on wine on "WineWednesdays." But even during the week, they are busy so plan to have a short wait. Read more
I really wanted to like this place, and to be fair there were some really good aspects. The drinks at the bar were really good,... and the bartenders were great. Appetizers were a mixed bag, the pork belly tacos were amazing and the crab cakes were only ok.The French onion soup I got had almost zero onions, while my wife's had them. It was underwhelming without onions, anddisappointing because it looked so good. The fries with sauces were phenomenal as were the mashed potatoes. The bigdisappointment was the entrees. The meatloaf was bland and we also ordered a filet medium and it came out red. I couldn't eatmore than a couple pieces. I would give 4 stars but all of this was expensive. Buck and Honey was a great find (thank you Google)!!! Great meeting place between Chicago, La Crosse, and Wisconsin Rapids. Food... and drinks were awesome and service was top notch. Buck & Honey’s offers delicious food in a relaxed setting. Great service and ambience . Went in on a Sunday evening and were... immediately seated. Our server was prompt and made good recommendations. We started with the flower sprouts, sassy curds, andfirecracker shrimp. Each of the apps were so so good. We had to get seconds of the fire cracker shrimp and it was gone inseconds. Next week ordered the Thai chicken pizza, chipotle chicken pasta, jambalaya, and veggie centricity. All the entreeswere perfectly cooked. The jambalaya was so tasty, loved it. It was wholesome meal and loved all the spices in it. The pizza wasalso so good, perfect Thai flavors. The chipotle chicken pasta was also really good. Each of the dishes were really good, lovedeverything we ordered. Finally ended our great meal with the chocolate cake. So decadent. Must try!! I'm from out of town and visiting a friend for my birthday. We made reservations for Sunday night. My first time here, it was SO... good. I don't remember our waiters name, he was great. I had the grilled Angus ribeye (cooked medium) with gourmet Mac andcheese and the daily vegetable - chipotle corn. With it being my birthday, I received a brownie sundae - it was delicious! Very delicious food and they were doing a special for "Restaurant Week" that we weren't expecting with a 3 course lunch for $15!... Spectacular value for the quality. The firecracker shrimp was so good, I forgot to take pictures of anything else! Read more
