We tried this place for the historical significance and enjoyed the lovely dining room more than we expected. It's historic... with modern upgrades. Food was very good and the service was adequate but not amazing. The bathrooms are interesting becausethey are a tight squeeze but it's a historical building. We hope to return again soon. Read more
The Edison was better than we expected. I have driven by many times but I finally tried it. The food was good, the dining... area was clean and historic with a modern feel. The history of this building is a joy to take in and experience. We receivedgood service, the servings were plentiful and the price was fair. I will return again when I'm in the area. Read more
This was our first visit after the remodel and new chef. The feeling in the front restaurant is cozy like a classic library or... traditional gentleman's club: wood paneling with indirect lighting, beautiful oak tables, carved panel chairs, and librarytable lamps. Fantastic! New menu and chef are really great. Old Edison staples like Beef on a Bun remain, along with delicious new creations.... Decent beer selection, with a rotating tap that always features something special. Our service was EXCELLENT and the atmospherequaint. We'll be back! Read more
Heard a lot of good things about this place so decided to give it a try. One person in our party ordered root beer, they were... out. Same person ordered beef with noodles, they were out, at 7:30pm on a Friday night. Same person ordered a steak mediumthat came out rare and bloody. Rather than take the plate the waitress tried to take just the steak leaving the Mac and cheeseand mashed potatoes in a pool of blood. After being asked for new sides they were brought out cold. The same steak wasreturned very obviously microwaved to a rubbery mess. Two others of our party ordered the meatloaf that was bland and alsoarrived with cold sides. The final person ordered Paella and said it was warm and delicious. Prices were reason if the foodwould have been acceptable. The steak situation was handled completely wrong. There should have been a new steak prepared withnew hot sides. Probably will not make a return visit despite the very nice decor. Read more
We (4 people) ate dinner here August 2018 and within 3 bites of our meal we all agreed we got our money?s worth, the food tasted... as well as the atmosphere! Our waitress was on her 3rd day of hire and she was very attentive and pleasant. This will be ourfuture place to dine when visiting the surrounding location. Read more
When there last night. Took some friends from out of town that have never been there. I've gone there for years, had some good... experience and some not so good. This was the worst! We waited for over an hour and 15 mins. for our food. Was told by thewaitress that they were short staff. "On a Friday night?" When the food did arrive it was not good. She did all she could andI'm not blaming her. Gave her a nice tip. I understand there's new management now. They did comp our meal, but I don't thinkI'll be back. Very disappointed!!!!! Read more
Good drinks, excellent French onion and great service! And really nice environment. Our disappointment came with limited... entree options for a nice dinner. Their options I'm sure are great, just wasn't anything of interest for us. Read more
