Despite what the website says, it's not a dine in or delivery resteraunt. It's a take out place, kind of disappointing

4 - 5 stars for taste of Danny's pesto penne with chicken. 2 or 3 stars for value. I purchased one frozen entree for 1 large or... 2 small servings with 4 pieces of chicken for over $40. Over priced for something that could easily be prepared at home. Plusregardless of where you live, it is a drive. This summer and beyond, I believe, they are only doing take out. We live 2 hours away from Danny's and would literally make this drive just to eat at this amazing pasta place! Luckily our... cottage is only minutes away, so we regularly enjoy a great family meal here. The appetizers, (personal favourites include theescargot, caesar salad and mussels) are absolutely mouth watering. The pasta's (personal favourites include the salmon in acream sauce and the curry) are to die for and leftovers always taste just as great the next day. There are always daily specialsand although its always hard to sway from our favourite dishes, we have never ever been disappointed with any new dish we haveventured to try. There are many pasta options and the wonderful staff are always accommodating if there is a minor changesneeded to your order. My family and I have eaten at many five star restaurants throughout the GTA, and by far there is nocomparison to Danny's, the quality of food, generous portions, family atmosphere, amazing staff and FANTASTIC flavours in everydish, each meal is worth every penny! The prices are pretty steep for pasta but the food is amazing!! The best in the area! A great place to treat yourself to an... above average meal. There is a pasta for everyone. I have been to this place 3 times and have to say it is the best plate of pasta I have ever had. Now that being said I find the... prices outrageous! I got a bowl of curry pasta and it did not come with bread. The bowl was over 25 dollars and no bread? Weasked for a bun and they wanted three dollars each for a bun. I felt insulted when I was told how much a bun would be extra whenthe meal should have came with it in the first place. The pasta portion was not very generous. Our service was on the poor side.They have it so right for quality of food they just need to sort out their other issues and I would for certain give them a 5star rating. Fantastic Italian food, good service. Not cheap, but well worth the money. Pretty sophisticated dishes, one more enticing than... the other. I try to make a point of eating here every time I'm heading north... Or on the way back: there's nothing like a goodplate of amazing pasta to bring one back to civilization after a while in the boonies. Read more

Living nearby I've eaten at Danny's regularly. The food is fantastic. Don't expect that this is some Italian spaghetti with... meatballs kind of place. For the longest time I had never ordered from the menu because every day there is a new special (and Idon't think that I've ever seen a special repeated). Expect things like linguine with lobster, venison, and leeks. I've haddishes with ostrich, boar, seafood, game, and of course your ordinary meats like shrimp, beef, pork, and chicken. I only everhad one less than excellent experience where the pasta wasn't drained very well before the sauce was added - so it made thesauce thin - but this was at lunch, once out of more than a dozen times and the dish was still very good. I've never beendisappointed in the serving sizes and the service is always top-notch. I've heard (and read) people complain about the pricesbut I think the prices are absolutely fair considering what you get. This is fine-dining that people would gladly pay more forif it was located in the centre of a large community. Read more
