It is not the same place as it used to be just some months ago. The chef has changed or the owner has changed. No more free... chips, no more pickles. No more birria. The menu is reduced in half, no more 65 items on the menu. The order handling is bad. Ihave asked for rice, I didn't get it. The other guy got a vegetarian burrito with sour cream on one end. The third guy gotvegetarian burrito without sour cream. The barbacoa is good except it is more a soup than a stew. Read more

Don't know if they were just off today but it wasn't as good as I remember them being. It's been a few months since I was there.
It's a hole I'm the wall with no AC, on my last visit I ordered a wet burrito with shredded chicken, when I cut into the burrito... I noticed a huge pike of rice and minimal to no chicken. I brought this to the Staggs attention and was given a dirty look. Iwill not be returning to the location. Read more

After about a decade of eating here, I was very pleased to see that not only was it still here, it had been updated and the... quality and quantity of food has remained unchanged. I have read some of the reviews of other guests complaining that it waschanged somehow for the worse, however, that is all in their heads as this is still hands down the best taqueria in the bayarea! I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone I ever meet who will be in the area for any length of time. If you havenot eaten here, you MUST give it a try! I ordered a #3 carne asada plate. It was good. I would come back here. They also have horchata! :) They have a nice outdoor... patio but I wish there were more seats. Pretty difficult getting a table for a big group if you come during rush hour. Read more
This place is a bit of a hole in the wall in the middle of a neighborhood. The food is amazing, and so is the bakery next door.... We like the flautas and vampiros! Read more
