I had the food catered. $400+ I placed the order about a wk ahead of time. On the pick-up day I called to make sure order was... ready. I've had food catered from Golden Krust before and was impressed with everything. The transaction was done over thephone so it was not until I went to get the food that I realized this was not the same restaurant that I used previously. Boththe oxtail and the curried goat were disappointing in terms of flavor. The stew fish, snapper was great!. My main complaint,however was the packaging. Curry stains immediately on contact so restaurants are aware that the packaging has to be good andsturdy for travel. The curry dripped on our clothing and shoes even just getting it in the vehicle. I had already asked for abox and extra paper to place under the food, even that did not help the poorly packaged food. There was irreparable damage done!I will not return to this restaurant. If you get food catered be sure to make it clear that packaging has to be appropriate. Ifyou're not satisfied when you arrive for the pick-up, do not leave with the order until you are. Read more

There is a hornet in my soup.

Two weeks ago I came in on a weekend around 12pm it was busy with people , you would think the pattie?s would be fresh. It was... not it was extremely tough to bite , dry meat , cheese was dry, old crust. I brought 3 beef n cheese and a fritter , that was awaste of money. I now go to Charlie?s pastries were everything is hot and fresh it?s a bit of a drive but it?s worthit Suggestion- Don?t keep old pattie?s for the next day to serve it. I have always enjoyed the food here but today OMG the food was Disgusting!! The Fried Chicken taste as if it was made 3 days... ago, raw inside. The oxtail gravy on the dead flat tasting rice was horrible. I always brag on this location been going foryears and Have Never Ever had a bad experience; Today I had to throw away the food, had I sat and ate like my mind told me to doI would have given it back to them. February 5th, 2022. I just ordered 2 curry chicken lunch dinners but they ran out of vegetables. I was only able to get Xtra... rice, no exceptions. I didn't like that but accepted it. I would've preferred Xtra plantains or an extra piece ofchicken???????. Anyhow, I get home to eat and discover that the rice is not fully cooked. I was very dissatisfied with all thatextra rice I got. It was too hard I couldn't go finish eating??. I wanted to call the restaurant, but what good would that havedone. Customer satisfaction is the key. Work on that! I want to also point out how unfriendly the server's appear. It's likeeverybody got a chip on their shoulders or don't like their job...perhaps hire some smily and friendly faces saying uponentering "welcome to Golden Krust" upon exiting "thank you for coming, enjoy". This has to be the most disgusting rendition of Jamacian food I have ever seen and unfortunately ate. The food is sooo nasty... !!!!!! I can?t even begin to explain the taste of the food. I had the brown stew chicken. The only thing that looked tasteworthy, boy did I think wrong. Everything on display looked old and poorly cooked. Not even the beef patty was good. Visited this store for lunch today and was very Dissatisfied. The vegetable rice was overcooked stuck together just horrible.... Couldn't eat it. Also purchased a prepackaged slice of bread pudding that didn't taste fresh. Every now and then I visit thissame store thinking these things have been corrected, unfortunately there's no change.
