Awesome pirate/nautical themed restaurant and bar, right on the water! You can drive there, or arrive on boat or jet ski and... park at the on-site marina. They have a swimming beach, volleyball courts and plenty of outside (and inside!) dining. The foodis great, and their dinner menu includes things like pizza (with a build your own option), burgers, salads, and some greatappetizers, and some seafood options. If you can't find entertainment here your not trying hard enough. We arrived by boat, plenty of dock space here. Super friendly... young ladies help tie you up to the dock. Indoor and covered or uncovered seating available. Indoor bar and separate outdoortikibar. Sand volleyball court, beach, bags and swimming available. Cabins for rent also. Small gift shop inside too.Cheeseburger and fries was large and well flavored. Wife enjoyed her quesadilla as well, substantial drink menu with lots offruity type mixed drinks. The atmosphere here was light and easy going. We took our boat there. The staff that helps people dock was very nice and always... in good spirits. I ordered some fried pickles, calamari strips, and breaded garlic knots. The food was great and we were able toeat it on the beach while the kids got out some energy swimming and playing in the sand. We ordered Crab Legs, Volcano Nachos, Fries, Cesar Salad, Coconut Shrimp, Pecan Cheesecake and Chocolate Cake.... and we'd order... every one of them again (especially the nachos). Service was great, kept our drinks full and was very courteous. Food came outvery quickly and what was supposed to be hot was hot and what was supposed to be cold was cold. We were there on a Friday rightaround 5PM and although they were busy, we didn't have to wait to be seated and were served very quickly. This was our first trip to Captain Ron's, and it was delightful. Very convenient, just a little ways off Hwy 5 But a BIG sign... tells you where to turn. Fast, friendly service (kid and family friendly too! They have a playground for the kiddos) and tastyfood. Good music at a decent volume. Right on the water with a marina, you can get there by boat or by car. Beach volleyball (2courts), a playground, a bar, a covered deck, and indoor dining if you prefer. Restaurant was nothing special. Food and service was mediocre at best. I assume they are short handed as they were comping... food and drinks at almost every table and took a long time to get either. Outside in the "beach" looked like a great time an alarge bar out there with possibly live music at some point. Read more
