Wow what a wonderful dinner. The mushrooms and potatoes served at our table were out of this world. What impressed me the most... was the steak selection. We had 1 dinner & 5 breakfasts at Lodge Kitchen. All staff were exceptional except one who was just average. The lady that... served us dinner on 5/20 was fun & efficient. Wish I remembered her name but she has been there for almost 45 years so therecan't be too many of them. Morning st staff were very friendly & efficient Food was very good but too much for seniors. Terrible fathers day brunch. Service was minimal at best, took almost 2 hours, the restaurant was cold and soggy, the food took... forever and was cold and very blah. My bowl of cold congealed scrambled eggs was not appetizing. My husband's chicken andwaffles was put on such a small plate food was hanging off the sides. We sent a lot of uneaten food back and the waitress neverasked if there was a problem with any of it. He was gone the entire time we were eating and didn't bring results until we werefinished. This is the second time we've had a less than enjoyable experience recently. The restaurant was not that busy andthere was a lot of staff. There could have been issues but it wasn't obvious that there were. They offer upper class dining andreally just provide a minimal menu, slow, poor service. When we had dinner there, they eventually got it right and the food wasgood. This morning's breakfast was definitely not. At least they have the atmosphere going for them since the view isphenomenal. Just okay. Should have given a lower star rating given the prices. My crab pasta came out Luke warm, my girls steaks ordered the... same were cooked completely different. One under cooked and their side came out cold as well. Shoot, all that said I think I’mdropping this from my original 3 star to a two star. Their menu has changed to be more of a steak house and they have a ways togo to impress me or keep up with the other steakhouses in Bend. Read more

The elk meatloaf was very good. It was amazingly lean, yet moist and the bacon around it added a nice flavor to it. I would take... the bbq sauce on the side next time, since the meatloaf tasted great without it. And you have to try the apple pie skillet fordessert...words can't do it justice! It was wonderful! The view was fantastic. We had an excellent server named Danielle who was very attentive and the whole staff... was friendly. The food was also exceptional, I had the ribeye steak, wedge salad, and then the apple crisp (not shown) fordessert. Everything was so good!!! My wife had these steak frites and said it was amazing too! We also had the cheese board. Read more

My fiance and I had his birthday dinner here which gma took us to for his late bday celebration. Gma got the seafood stew (I... forgot the exact name & it's not pictured) my fiance got the steak frits which was so delicious ???? & I got the elk meatloafwhich was yummy. We got dessert which was really good too. Only complaint was there was not much staff & our waitress had herhands full & being a server for 10 yrs I know how she felt but she could've tried harder to be more pleasant. I get it your busybut that doesn't mean you leave us hanging long periods of time than get mad when I call you over. Anyways food was exquisite,view was beautiful as always. My biggest complaint tho was I used my employee discount & she tells me because I used it she wasobligated to put her tip into our balance, uhm why i work there & I work hard for to get and keep that discount why do I have topay you to use my discount she really ripped us off sorry.
