The best Chicken Caesar Salad I?ve ever had! Period. End of story. (except please keep reading) I?m so happy I got to talk to... the mastermind behind this dish (Brandon knows what he is doing!!!), because I wouldn?t normally order this salad. I usuallyfind Caesar salads to be bland and boring. Not this one! Smoked bacon (made in house), croutons (made in house), plus a Caesardressing that compliments instead of overpowering the salad - yes, again made in house. Then Brandon explained how he makes thechips in house (I won?t try to explain it, because I won?t do it justice), but just know that it is like a chip and a waffle fryhad a baby, and these chips are the wonderful, delicious outcome ~ light, but flavorful! A must order!!! The cherry on top wasthe great service. Kathy was a fabulous bartender and server! She was welcoming from the moment I sat down, and was attentive,without being overbearing. She also made great cocktails! Overall, The Shack was a wonderful experience, and I look forward tocoming back on a weekly bases while in town for work. They apparently had a rough go during Covid, but Brandon (& others) havebeen working tirelessly to improve things, and I?m definitely impressed! I recommend you give them a try as well! Read more
Decided to visit a restaurant in Superior while staying in Duluth. We chose The Shack because, overall, it was rated higher... than the other restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. We both ordered hamburgers,which we found oddly dry and tasteless. Not sure if they made the meat patties ahead of time, than reheated them for theircustomers - but the meat was much drier/tasteless than a normal burger. Wait staff were pleasant and prompt, but that's notenough to warrant another meal there again. Read more
