My 2 friends and I went to Patronies on Sept 16, 2022. Our server ALLISON (and the rest of the staff also), we're so friendly... and engaging. Allison was awesome, and all the others worked together as a great managed team. The food was outstanding (2different pizzas and calzone)...and we were glad we hit this spot every year! Thanks again! Really good pizza. Not thin crust, but not doughy like usual hand tossed.
Update: This was on 7/23. This was also an online order. The pizza was good, but the experience was horrible. We ordered on our... way into the island for vacation. We ordered an hour ahead of time and were quoted 45 minutes for preparation time. Got to therestaurant and stood outside the little window for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there for a pickup order. It wasa Saturday night, so totally understand for being busy. When I was greeted, the hostess was nice enough, but I was just toldthat she would check on it and bring it out as soon as possible. I then sat on the deck for 1.25 hours waiting on our 2 pizzasthat were supposed to be ready when we showed up. With a 10 month old in the car and after a 14 hour drive, the experience ofwaiting that long was not positive. The hostess then proceeded to tell others that they were running 10-15 minutes behind, butall 15 or so of us on the porch disagreed. After finally being handed my pizza, she apologized, but told me that it was quotedto be ready an hour ago and provided no further explanation. Several people had to cancel their orders after showing up to anadditional wait. Again, the pizza was good, but paying that much for 2.5 hour waits doesn't create a repeat customer. Needrealistic wait times on site or just shut it down completely. Nice staff, but need training on handling situations like that. Read more
The atmosphere here is fantastic, the patriotism that is shown in the decor is very refreshing, and as a paramedic I love to... see. The pizza was fantastic, and came out very quickly! A word to the wise get the large size pizza if you are sharing! Thegarlic knots were fantastic also! The staff was very very friendly and they took great care of us even though they were prettybusy while we were there. We will definitely come back here when we come back to Holden beach or anywhere close! Read more
We ordered takeout: 1. Spaghetti with meatballs-- 4 stars. Good but slightly overpriced 2 Caesar Salad and House salad-- 3... stars. Alright, but not worth the price... the kits from the grocery store are just as good 3. Pepperoni pizza-- 5 stars. Thebest thing they have, not too greasy, really good. 4. Wings-- 3 stars. It wasn't bad. The toppings were generous but huge. (Except for the green bell pepper.) I like my veggie pizza toppings diced,... but that's my personal preference. The toppings did fall off the slice when eating. The crust was thicker than I expected, butdefinitely not bad. The sauce was mild, my palette enjoys a bolder zest. All in all, we ate the pizza and felt satiated but itdidn't leave me thinking I'll crave it again in the future. Read more
This is a great little pizza place. I love both their eclectic pizzas like the chicken parmesan, as well as their old standard... pizzas like pepperoni, because they've got a really good crust. Take out is good, but it's a lot of fun to eat in and just lookat all the fun signage & chachki they have on the walls. When they're real busy during the vacation season, their order-on-linesystem works well. Read more
