I am a person who enjoys and loves to eat poke. The wait time for the two Poke Bowls I ordered was over 25 minutes. The amount... of food is really small (about half in a small bowl) and at a glance, the tuna that is not fresh was so disgusting that I almostvomited while eating it because of the not fresh fish smell. Where to begin... The friendly atmosphere, clean environment, the best chefs or the most delicious sushi I have ever eaten in my... life. The sushi rolls here are something summer sunset dinner memories are made of. What a place for a cozy out of season datenight. The Google reviews here were the reason we picked this place. I hope my review will be a deciding factor for otherreviewers. This is by far the best place to get Sushi in Long Beach Island. Just watching the chef make the rolls was soentertaining and enjoyable. The ambiance is a perfect setting. This is more of a take out place but they have a bunch of seatsat the sushi bar to eat which is what where we sat. The owners wife is very knowledgeable and super friendly and was workingside by side with both chefs. I will not only be back but will be a yearly regular during my stay on the Island. Read more
Not cheap, but really outstanding sushi isn't cheap. Very fresh, perfect rice, crisp nori & a couple of creative items not on... the menu. Only place on Long Beach Island I've found to know what Omakase means. Read more
I'm a huge mango fan, and the specials were right up my alley! I watched them slice and dice the sushi in front of me, and the... rice consistency was perfect! The flavors in the Mango Spicy Tuna and Mango Ahi Tuna were out of this world. One was garnishedwith jalapeno and the other had a sriacha mayo sauce in it. It was a perfect balance of flavor and spice. The staff were alsowonderful and knowledgeable to talk to and made the experience that much better! I can hardly wait to go back for some PokeBowls! I've been going to Little Sumos since it opened. It was the first and best place I've ever had sushi from. Took my husband there... last night for the first time and it did NOT disappoint! Their sushi looks pretty and tastes even better. This fish isflavorful, making the Rainbow Roll my favorite. Read more
