Wally's is "OK" in my opinion. The fries were great, and you get great value for your money in terms of portion sizes. However,... the food was not phenomenal and the service was lacking. They have a huge menu, which is nice for a breadth of options but makesit hard to do everything well. As far as the service, I understand that a lot of shore restaurants hire students to work therefor the summer, but the staff at Wally's was very unenthusiastic, slow, and curt. Overall, it's a decent spot if you have alarge group and want to get good value across a lot of options, but I unfortunately can't recommend it beyond that. Read more
Top three meals I?ve ever eaten, the food was just to die for. The vegan Madrid omelette was out of this world (best omelette... I?ve ever had period, vegan or not vegan) and the Japanese soufflé pancakes were extraordinary. I?ve been a vegan for close toa decade, and am also a vegan chef with her own food business. Warm, cozy spot with plenty of outdoor seating areas both in front and rear patios. A lot of open air with huge windows,... doorways and garage door-size openings that keep a breeze flowing throughout. Appears to be a local favorite. We had a latelunch and seemed to miss the rush. Along with a handful of tables, we had the restaurant to ourselves as the staff seemed to begearing up for dinner. Our server was attentive and our meals were prepared quickly. Plenty of starter, salad, sandwich, wrapand burger options available for lunch. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely revisit. My only knock I would have to saywas that our sandwich and wrap both seemed to be light on chicken. With prices upward of $15 per plate, I expected more. Read more
A spur of the moment trip to the beach & a reference from a life guard sent us to this gem of a restaurant. Busy at 1:00ish &... noisy but the food was excellent. Salmon toast was so good & fresh, although a bit challenging to eat. The steak knife helpeda lot (toast was thick & lots of toppings) Avocado ???? toast was also excellent & easier to eat. How this place isn?t a solid 5 stars is shocking. I got the crumb cake which they butter and grill, served warm ???? I swear my... taste buds experienced magic. That stuff is delicious (understatement) I also got the avocado toast and loved the red pepperflakes on it. That crumb though?.. get you some. Read more
i'm a breakfast person so anytime we get a new breakfast place to include in our must visit again and again it's most definitely... welcome... that is what happened to us when we went to LBI on a whim on an early saturday morning on an easter weekend...contemporary exterior... happy kind of chic interior... everything we ordered were great... the service was excellent... corinnewas very accommodating and always smiling... one of the owners generously went to our table to explain a menu item we found thatvery interesting... it turned out to be really good... i'll add the picture but i forgot the name... it's our new favorite placeon LBI... I had to start eating gluten free about a month ago and have not been able to go out to eat since. Wallys made me feel... comfortable and I knew I didn't have to worry about anything I can't eat ending up in my food. The food was delicious and theservice was perfect.
