The food wasn't bad! We went for sushi and I would say it was pretty good. But we don?t eat sushi all of the time to know. I... will say this because I had trouble finding it online, they have all you can eat sushi for $19.95 at lunch. They did notadvertise this when we came in. They handed us regular menus and when she came back to see if we were ready I asked forspecials. THIS is when she told me they had all you can eat. It is a separate menu. We're from Toronto, and we're big into sushi and Chinese food. And there's tons of these restaurants where we're from. Being in... Topsail, far from an ethnic population, we didn't have high expectations but thought what the heck we'll try it. BLOWN AWAY. Ifthis place was in my neighborhood back home, I'd order from here all the time. We had the yellowtail jalapeno appetizer, whichhad some generously sized pieces of hamachi on a bed of cucumber matchsticks, thickened tataki (?) sauce, topped with jalapenoslices and a dot of hot sauce. This is a signature dish, I've never seen it done this way before, and it hit all the notes.Godzilla roll: on the higher end of the rolls in terms of price, but had all the good stuff, softshell crab inside, torchedwhite tuna on top. The torched flavor was perfectly executed and elevated the roll. General Tso's shrimp: every new Chineserestaurant I go to I judge by the General Tso's chicken, it's a guilty pleasure of mine. I saw a shrimp version so why not.Shrimps were big, plump, perfectly cooked, light fluffy breading which soaked up an addictive sauce surrounded by broccoliflorets also perfectly steamed tender crisp. You might want to get two bowls of steamed rice if you're into that sauce. We alsogot an order of white tuna sashimi because that's one of our faves. Some of the freshest pieces I've had. We decided on this restaurant for my wifes Birthday. It had a 4.3 out of 5 star review. When we arrived tonight, there was no... one there except the three of us, two waitresses and two Sushi Chefs. We realize this is the beginning of the Winter Off Seasonbut expected more people. We all ordered Sushi and were not disappointed. Will definitely go again. Service was good, ambiencegood inside. I have said it before, dont judge a book by the cover and this place proves it. Stopped in for lunch today and was blown away.... My wife loves sushi and they have a lunch special that is all you can eat. She was very impressed with the selection. Sheenjoyed each roll she ate. I had the General Tso and it was delicious. The menu was massive, and had many of the classics. The regular Chinese takeout staples were great, and the portions are not... skimped on. The containers were barely able to close. Haven't tried the sushi yet, but looking forward to it. Service was quickand friendly, made this my go-to for Chinese food in the area. Read more
