Let's just say I want to try the whole menu. I was just passing through the area for work and wanted something quick for lunch.... I stopped in and was greeted promptly and the hostess was genuinely friendly. She offered to help with the menu so I took her upand asked what was most popular. She recommended the burritos and tacos and I was already wanting the fish tacos but she alsorecommend the Al pastor. I went with one Al pastor, one grilled fish, and one breaded fish. They were all seriously amazing andbursting with flavor. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious. Also, the the tacos were stuffed to the rim and were honestlya little messy but more than worth the mess and worth every penny. Even though I like trying new places, I definitely want to goback and try a burrito if I'm back in the area. Another thing to note is the peppercinis. My friends have been coming here, but it's my first time. The parking area is small and it's one of those pull in right from... the street. We came around 8pm on a Saturday. We got a table right away and in the area that we wanted. The restaurant has anice "typical" surf theme. I liked that they had the windows wide open for ventilation. They played upbeat music-- nothing tooloud. Kid friendly (saw some kids sitting over at the next table). They have a QR code on the table so you can use yourcellphone to look up the menu. The food tasted really good. We think the serving is pretty big. Prices are comparable to theother slightly higher priced hispanic restaurants. ???? You've got to try their flan! It was really good. Their menu offers Pepsi, but they have Mexican coke if you ask. We got their popular fish taco lunch combo. Was so tasty.... Service was excellent, staff was attentive and brought more chops and salsa to est while you wait. Read more
I think the night that I went, the staff member there might have been training because she didn't seem to be quite familiar with... their menu.. overall she was really nice & polite. The staff member there took our order. I had the potato taco with avocado and2 margaritas. One was peach flavor slush, the other was regular lime. Let me just say I could barely taste the tequila in therebut it was soooooo good. There was a moderate amount of alcohol in it. They ask if you want the peach blended or not. Delicious Carnitas tacos being served here. This has been my spot on my drive back to L.A. from San Diego for years. It never... disappoints. Update 3/19 Made a quick stop for a quick bite. I ordered 3 flour carnitas tacos with a side of Guacamole, eventhough the tacos had Guac inside already. Super delicious, their carnitas is the best tasting carnitas I've ever tasted.
