My son has been here twice to see the Mermaid Pirates. It?s a nice experience for a child. The staff are friendly and the food... is good, they have a lot of options. They refill the Crablegs consistently and offer a lot of kid friendly options. I haven?ttasted anything here that I didn?t like. As someone who has been to Myrtle Beach every year of my life, some of the buffetsaren?t worth the price, this one is. The only thing I didn?t like during the last visit was that we had to exit out of the giftshop which was a little aggravating with kids because they wanted to purchase toys. As a parent, I have no problem saying no and I understand Lots of places do this to generate more money but that?s not something I agree with at a restaurant. Read more

Pirate's Table Buffet is a big restaurant south of Myrtle Beach with lots of seating and good variety of food. I give it 5... stars because of the variety of food, the good service, clean restaurant and just overall fun atmosphere. Its a pricey place atthe end of the night and if are a big eater then the value is there, however, if you are just going for dinner.. its pricey andits buffet food. Now.. I do recommend it as I went there because of the variety of seafood and just really wanted to try somethings I have not tried before and it was quite good.. but seeing people overload their plates with crab legs make me laugh asthe crab legs are not that big and its a lot of work for little bit of meat. I really enjoyed sampling all of the other seafooditems I typically don't have an opportunity to eat. Service was great, plates were cleared up quickly and staff was very happyto see our big group of 8 checking on us with drinks all evening. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The ambiance was nice and the mermaid was a nice addition. The food is what I'm... basing the rating on. The price was expected for a seafood buffet, but the only hot fresh options were the crablegs and eat andpeel shrimp. The crab soup was very good. However, most everything else was imitation crab or frozen fish options. Salmon wasoily and greasy. The crab butter had a weird metallic taste to it. For the price I expected a lot more fresh options. The placeitself was pleasant enough. Just disappointed in the food for the price we paid. Read more

Great buffet spot! The buffet table was a big pirate ship and the kids thought it looked awesome. There is also a person dressed... as a mermaid in a pool at the front of the building, waving at all the kids. Food was great with all you can eat crab legs. Oh my goodness! Great waiter! He was so entertaining. Very attentive. Atmosphere was amazing!! My only complaints would be it's... a tight squeeze between tables and you def pay for it. 3 adults and 2 kids with tip ran us $355. Ouch... But great otherwise! Read more

So we saw one of those plane flying with a banner! Too lazy to drive all the way to Captain George?s, so we decided to try... Pirate?s Table. 100% better than Captain George?s. The place is super clean, the buffet area is clean, clean, clean. Fourpeople manning just the buffet - refilling and making sure everything is perfect. The server was on the spot with refills andtaking dirty plates away. Shout out to the manager lady, she came by our table twice to check on us - she also helped out thebuffet staff with refilling and cleaning. Food - the largest and tastiest oysters I have ever had. Just awesome, I posted apic. I figure I ate at least three dozen. So perfect. Crab legs - perfectly steamed, not soggy. You know that snap you getwhen you crack a leg - just awesome! Prime Rib - overdone! I like mine rare - but I had a slice and the flavor was excellentand the rub was to die for. Chicken Marsala - give it a try, not your typical dish. Made with tender thigh meat in a creambased Marsala. Very good, just different. I enjoyed the fried shrimp and fried oysters, the breading was very flavorful, kindof spicy, reminds me on hand breaded home cooked fried food. Overall, super happy with our visit. What a wonderful place! The food is great, decor and attention to detail is spot on, and the employees are very nice. Our... waitress this evening, Ira, was a pleasure. She was warm, welcoming, and very attentive. Always wore a smile, and was verypleasant to talk to. Definitely deserves a raise in my humble opinion!
