This place has since been closed down*** I've only been here once and tried two items. I had the Lanzhou beef noodle soup which... was tasty but the broth was so boring despite it's fantastic smell. Over the past year, we've been trying to find a Chinese restaurant in the area that we really love, something that has our... favourites, but a cut above the rest. On paper, Menz didn't seem to have any of our favourites, think stereotypical westernizedChinese dishes, but we decided to phone in, spoke to a super friendly lady and asked some questions. In the end we opted for 3dishes that seemed close, we would've been happy if one or two were a match that we'd like. Let me tell you, these dishes wereamazing, similar to what we like, only better, they had that special something that makes you happy inside, the extra bit that'sa cut above the rest. We had leftovers, so that was the second test. Reheating these types of dishes usually doesn't turn outso well, often because they're overly gelatinous. Not with these, they were great when reheated the next day. I'm so glad welooked beyond the names of dishes and found our new go-to. Loving the photos everyone has contributed, gave us great ideas forthe next order. Read more
I am super surprised how satisfied I am with a Lanzhou noodle house. The cold spicy noodles are so amazing. The fried chicken... crispy and sweet sour chicken so delicious! I am so full. This place is spacious and comfortable. I can?t wait to come back. Read more
Chinese soup noodle in south Surrey!!!! So glad it is not adjusted to non asian preferences like all the other chinese... restaurants around here. The spicy sauce on the side adds great flavor to their noodles! The salt and pepper wings weresurprisingly good, I think it has msg though lol Enjoyed the mushroom chicken soup noodle, the broth tasted like a really goodbroth from hk bbq soup noodles lollll. My husband enjoyed the beef noodle and the spicy oil on the side alot so we willdefinitely be back! I feel like overall the soup turned out really salty after I added chili oil and vinegar so couldn't drinkthe soup even though I usually do!!!! Good soup noodle ftw!!!! Read more
Enjoyed everything. The lamb vermecelli was more like a pho, with a simple stock, and the lamb came as chunks, not slices. The... red sauce was like a garlic, sweet chilli that came on the side. The house tea $5 was nice, and worth the price, for qualityand quantity. When I couldn't finish it they had to-go cups as well. The fresh prunes and such were sweet and didn't overwhelmthe green tea. The pork ramen made me realize instant ramen companies really captured the flavour. The seasoned eggs wererefreshing; chilled, salty, and over medium yolk. I liked the decor a lot. Amazing, delicious noodles in the area, you just need to be a little patient! The food here is amazing, from the soup noodles... to the dry noodles and the side dishes. A lunch combo is offered if you want to come at lunch hours. The team here means well,but English at times isn't their strongest suit, so a bit of grace and patience will go a long way in a fantastic noodleexperience for you and guests. Tried out the noodle house. 9 pieces of meat with a lot of noodles. The beef seemed like thinly pieces cold cuts. There was very... little vegetable in the soup. While the soup was savoury it left a lingering MSG taste. The bowl was big but the portion didn?tfill me up. There are probably better options for $14. Read more
Wow what up large menu for such a tiny location. Food was awesome. Prices were Fair. I did take out, and the flavor was NOT a... disappointment. I absolutely love Noodle dishes, and there were many to choose from. So perfect for those of us who live closeby, I can just walk over. Read more
