The owner greeted me when I got there and was incredibly friendly. I don?t expect people to remember me even when we?ve met but,... he remembered from just one phone call. That really doesn?t happen these days. When my friend arrived again he treated herreally well. A great introduction to this restaurant! My friend and I had a girl?s night out and thoroughly enjoyed our timehere. The food was delicious and there was lots of it. We tried the calamari appetizer and Greek salad and we barely got throughit. Our main courses came, which filled our large plates. There was lots of meat, rice, potatoes and veggies. We couldn?t finishall of it so it went home with us. The staff were very nice and they were attentive without going overboard. They didn?t rushus at all and were quick to respond when we indicated we needed something. Even while it was busy they managed to be aware.Excellent job! I would definitely return the next time I want Greek food. There were so many options to choose from. With thatin mind it would have been nice to have sample platter. Maybe one for sharing between 2 people. I understand that might not befeasible but a girl can dream. I would highly recommend this restaurant. They delivered on friendliness, quality food, goodsize portions and excellent service. Thanks to all of you. Read more

We found this place by accident and are very happy we did. As soon as we walk in, the owner greets us as if we are old friends.... He always makes sure that we have everything we need. We have tried different dishes over the last 5 or 6 times we have eatenthere. The appetizers are very good, especially the Meatballs which are huge, almost a meal in themselves. The Calamari hasalways been perfect. My favorite is the Roast Lamb shoulder and my boyfriend usually gets one of the chicken dishes. Theportions are so big that there are leftovers to take home. The Greek salad with the homemade dressing is amazing. I always buy ajar to take home with me. We have ordered their pizzas (they deliver) which are very good, full of toppings and cheese. I wouldhighly recommend this place for dining in, take out, or delivery. Read more

Did you know Assinis does catering?! We used them for teacher appreciation day and the delivery was flawless and the food... equally delicious! The teachers actually had enough for two lunches in a row. I would suggest them any time to cater yourevent! ( as well as I ALWAYS keep a bottle of their Greek dressing in my fridge as it?s the best dressing ever!) Read more

I?m a long time Surrey resident so I?m a little ashamed that I?d never tried this restaurant before. I went here with my wife... for an anniversary and we had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was very cozy and European. The food was fantastic and theportions were huge. And the service from Vick and his staff was phenomenal. Best lamb I?ve ever had. I can?t wait to go againand couldn?t recommend it more. Read more

Ordered the calamari dinner and fresh tiger prawn dinner. The calamari portion was huge and the tiger prawns were melt in your... mouth. The potatoes were mediocre but the rice was good. The Greek salad that came with the dinner was amazing with theirhomemade dressing, we even brought a jar home which they sell. The owner Vic was serving us all night and making sure we hadeverything we needed. We will return and bring friends to enjoy this great place! Read more

What a friendly, tasty, cozy, Greek restaurant. I was greeted by the owner who served us and asked him to recommend a menu item... that best captures a traditional greek dish. He recommended the lamb shoulder and I ordered it, my wife ordered prawn souvlakiand have included pictures of both. The meal started with a greek salad which did not disappoint- very nice dressing with feta, kalamata olive, onion, tomato, bell pepper, and cucumber. Next came the main course, lamb shoulder with rice pilaf, lemonroasted potato, veggies, and a lemon wedge. All was very delicious and portions were super generous. I enjoyed the house whitewine from the Chaberton estate winery tasted like Sauvignon Blanc but might have been a blend. It paired very well with themeal. And for dessert I had a cheesecake with chocolate drizzle. It was a perfect ending. The ambience and decor of the diningarea felt like a Greek family story where every item/picture had some memory and meaning. I enjoyed the conversation with theowner as he checked on us. I would highly recommend this place to those seeking some delicious Greek food. Read more
