Went here for our 21 year anniversary dinner last night. Great food, our server was amazing. I had a pizza and my wife had the... spinach lasagna. Topped it off with some drinks. I had dinner in a good location with a nice beach view on a beautiful day. I ordered and the calamali we ordered did not come... out. The staff kindly apologized for that. I was a bit disappointed because I actually went there on purpose to try it. Butit was okay because the other food was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was good. Next time, I want to eat on the2nd floor there while looking at the sea. Will visit again soon. Then I hope you will not forget my order ???? Read more
Go early in the late afternoon for a table by the window! Enjoy a dinner with the view by the beach. Food is fine. The server... suggested Gnocchi with fungi is their feature dish. We ordered as I like Gnocchi too, however, it was disappointing. The tasteis fine but the Gnocchi was overcooked. It was too soft. Service was good. They have a 2 hour dinning policy, they wouldrather lost their sales from us ordering desserts than asking the next party to wait. We love Crescent Beach and we’ve been wanting to eat here. Finally we were able to try this awesome place for our Sunday... lunch. I made reservations so they had the best table in the house ready. Right by the window on the second floor is the besttable in the house. We also ordered Burata, several pastas, prawns and their Carne pizza. Everything was yummy, the service wassuperb and the ambience was the best. One of my faves restos now and we will definitely be back!! ???? Read more
Our server, actually most staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Service was very good. We waited quite a while... between receiving our starters and mains. The risotto was a little overdone, and I've never seen a Cioppino with potato in it;I've ordered a lot over the years. We found it a bit noisy, but we're coming to understand that that's what counts as ambiancethese days. I'll probably give Cotto Al Mare another try, likely a lunchtime pizza on the patio. Read more
Nice spot for when you feeling like some Italian food. Makes it better when it's really nice out in the... afternoon/evening. Their calamari appy was very enjoyable to eat. Soft calamari with a nice and light batter. Only thing Iwould add is more red onions and I'm a happy duck. Sauce added a tangy flavour as well, very much liked. Had the salmon aswell. The veggies were all pretty good, broccollini had a nice crunch. Salmon was a little overcooked on the fish side but, theskin was perfectly crunchy. Staff was very attentive and friendly as well. Beach view Italian restaurant with fantastic, truly delicious food! We ordered mussels (with broth) as appetizer, Margherita... pizza, 2 pasta dishes (Penne Primavera and Tagliatelli Frutti de Mare) and 2 desserts (Budino and Pannacotta). Mussels weresteamed with broth and the Margherita Pizza - both were simple and tasty! The pastas were al dente and very flavourful. Thedesserts were both appetizing but not great. In my opinion, the Panna Cotta was overshadowed with chocolate. I wanted it to besimple and in its pure, original recipe - since it is delicious and fantastic as it is without the enhancements. Less is more. To me, Dessert is both the main event and finale in every meal. Alexis, our Server was excellent with very attentive andfriendly service all throughout. We did get a table by the window overlooking the beach! Parking was convenient for diners onsite, and the washroom was clean and well equipped. The place was modern with a rustic feel, vibrant and warm. Even theGreeter/Hostess was welcoming and all smiles all the time! Would have been 5 stars if the Panna Cotta was simple andtraditional. Reasonably priced for the quality of food, location and service. Savoured similar dishes while in Italy in thepast and Cotto Al Mare is quite authentically Italian!
