There’s a reason this place has been around for 30 years. The food is GOOD!! We indulged in a couple schnitzels and I have to... say, damn good! We are DT regulars for dining and decided to give this a try for the hell of it. The cheese toast was betterthan Hy’s ????????????????????????. Excellent service and excellent food! I am so sorry that this restaurant has went so down hill! I had the famous prime rib and was so disappointed and could not eat! ... My prime rib was freezer burnt, ‘mashed potatoes’ were INSTANT! Our son had French fries with his meal and Sugar on theFrench fries is NOT good ! French onion soup had a weird sweet taste with weird spices - definitely not French Onion soup! Chicken pot pie was tasteless and a very weird consistency. We left but still paid our bill, minus the prime rib, and had to goand get something else to eat as the food was that terrible! Waiter did take my prime rib off of the bill but we still spent waytoo much money for one of the worst meals We have ever had! And the waiter had terrible body order to boot. Extremelydisappointed! I’ve always frequented Elizabeth chalet for the German cuisine(????) Went there a few months ago to try the Indian portion of... the menu, food was delicious but service was on the slow side. I understand it’s hard opening a new restaurant and getting inthe groove with what’s already there so I will still recommend this restaurant! There was only one waitress working at thetime, I think we arrived around 4:30-5:00. Definitely give this place a chance! I’m sure it’s improved since just opening! Read more

Our craving for good, old-fashioned Germanic fare was amply satisfied by the Combination plate which features schnitzel, ... bratwurst, rouladen, spaetzle and red cabbage. The chalet's interior is well appointed with wood features which are reminiscentof earlier times and the servers were attentive and friendly. Read more
We stopped by this restaurant by “accident”. We had absolutely no idea what to expect. We walked in and it became quite... clear. A classic Bavarian style restaurant. The service was quite good, the food was tasty, and overall we had a greatexperience. This is the type of place that has stayed consistently traditional for decades. If you want a nostalgic experienceand a blast from the past, this is a great place to experience what dining in the mid-eighties at a Bavarian restaurant wouldhave been like. Try them out. Read more
We didn't even get to eat in due to current conditions, but we had a fantastic dinner take out for my wife's birthday. I had the... bratwurst and she had cordon bleu and we were very satisfied. The portions were so big, we have potatoes and slaw forleftovers! The quality of the food was delicious and very filling. Can't wait to go back and eat inside, as the interior looksvery well maintained and has great character. Read more
I use to go there often and it was great all the time. Then because it change ownership, it lost its charms and some changes... weren't the right ideas. I went again few nights ago, and everything is going back the way it was. The food is still delicious,it has a new waiter, very experienced for that place but is what the place need right now. He told us that the owner is goingback to its roots, and this pleased us a lot. Give it another chance, it deserves it after all. Read more
