After having dinner here for the first time, I must say I'm very impressed and eager to go back and try more dishes. Four of us... (one vegetarian included) had dinner that included tandoori chicken skewers, dumplings with ground beef, hummus with specialbread, and roasted eggplant. Sides were rice, salad, and flatbreads, with chutney. For dessert we shared the pudding , mangocheesecake, and chai to drink. Everything was delicious and very well made and presented. Our server was so nice. She was verybusy but also attentive and wanted to make sure we were happy. I personally loved watching them make the breads in the specialoven. I?ve been here twice (dine in and take out) and I?ve tried individual plates and the big platter for 6 people. Honestly their... food is amazing! I would definitely go back! If you are craving afghan food, this is the right place to go. Also the service isamazing, they are so nice! Update: I went back again and I have to say I love their food. There are lots of good Afghani restaurants in Vancouver, and some of them are famous for great taste, good quality, and their... traditional style. My new work place is surrounded with few big plaza around. And doing my walk around during lunch time, Itried new places. One of them is Great Afghan Kabab which is great! Both the quality and the service. They provide you sometheir traditional dishes along their yummy rices and delicious bread. By now I tried their chiecken Kebab, Ghorma Sabzi, andeggplant borani. And each time it encouraged me to try their new dish while I miss the previous one! I recommend this greatresturant to everyone interested to try new taste and healthy foods. Read more

From Montreal to Vancouver, I have always been in the search for South Asian food and I could not find authentic Afghani food... untill I had visited this restaurant. My years long quest in Canada for a real Shinwari Lamb Karahi has come to an end after Iwas served with freshly made from the scratch Shinwari Lamb Karahi at this restaurant. The best part of this great Afghanrestaurant is that everything on the menu is made fresh everyday and you can tell this by the taste of the food. This restaurantis now my go to place and I would highly recommend this restaurant to you if you are a meat lover. Shinwari Karahi served hereis at the top of my list and you can't find such a quality Afghan food elsewhere in Canada, trust me!! The service was great andI am very thankful to the owner of this restaurant and staff for such a great hospitality where they served us a group of 10people. Just a piece of advise here that if you are looking to have Shinwari Karahi then you need to order at least a few hoursearlier as Shinwari takes time. I am looking forward to a revisit soon!! I?ve been supporting this restaurant ever since they opened since it?s so close to home. I find lately the quality and taste and... portions have really gone downhill. Service is also rather slow.
