Service was good and are quite attentive. We ordered escargot, Caesar salad, seafood platter, lamb, and crepe suzzette. Food... are delicious, but I do find the crepe slight too sweet for my taste bud. Overall, I had a great night out and a delicious mealon our anniversary. Read more
This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal! Reservations are definitely needed here, it is a very busy and popular restaurant.... Every dish I had hit the mark, and I don't have any complaints about anything. I highly recommend the Vancouver Island QualicumBay scallops, everything about the dish is absolutely heavenly. Wife took me out for our Anniversary & my Birthday dinner celebration. Old Surrey did not disappoint. Great food, Fantastic... service and really nice ambiance. We started off with Fresh Oysters, then wife got the Fish of the Day, While I got the SeafoodPlatter. Really fresh And tasty, portions were great. Night was capped off with a complimentary Birthday cake slice togetherwith a birthday song from server Nick & partner. Will surely come back to taste the other specialties. Read more
We came in with a group of 8, all of our first time dining at The Old Surrey. Phenomenal service from our server Mike. Very... professional and attentive and you can tell the staff is very well trained in what they do. The table side Caesar salad andflambé was entertaining and added an extra element of service. Love everything about this restaurant. From the history of the building to their food and staff. We enjoy our dinner at Old... Surrey. It is one of our favorite French restaurants in the area. We celebrated our anniversary here with a romantic dinner and really appreciated the ambiance and overall experience, as well as... the food! Make sure you order the Caesar salad, the Chateaubriand, or the Cherries Jubilee dessert in order to get the fulltable-side experience. Our dessert was served table-side by the owner and I really appreciated the extra time he took to tell usabout his family's farm where much of the restaurant's food comes from. The area wasn't what we expected, but the farm houseitself is beautiful and there was enough parking for a full restaurant. Read more
