My absolute favorite place to order on skip the dishes. 5 item combo cant be beat for value and taste! Ive giggled while reading... the reviews and responses by the owner. Let me just say I never write reviews on take out but felt compelled to write one this time. I have never in my life had worse... Chinese food. After seeing a decent rating on Skip I decided to place an order, it came to about $57. I decided before I placedmy order to google the restaurant. They offered free delivery, so I thought, hey why not order directly from them, save ondelivery and they don't have to pay a portion to Skip. Called in to place my order. When my order arrived I was surprised itwas $8 more than my exact order on Skip and I was charged a $3 delivery fee on top. I ordered lemon chicken, shrimp chow meinand shrimp fried rice. The lemon chicken is so dry and overcooked and the breading on it made me feel like I was eating a friedpork chop. I only had one bite before I ended up feeding it to my dogs. The chow mien and rice are so bland and flavourless. Ihad to cover it in soy sauce just to be able to get a few bites in. I felt sick eating it, so just decided to toss it. What awaste. Great portions, and tasty food. But please don't accept more orders if you're already overwhelmed with too many orders, or if... it's too late for deliveries. I hadn't ordered for a few years but I ordered 2 dinners for 1 this week described as "small portions". These meals are huge and... will probably make for at least 4 meals! I was also pleasantly surprised that everything has a lot less grease and just tasteshealthier because of it. They also advertise as using no MSG which is a bonus! Pretty good food at decent prices. I remember eating here as a kid back in the '80s. This place has been around forever. They... moved from a large building across the street to a smaller one but the food's the same. There are better Chinese restaurantsaround but the prices are much higher. We alternate between getting less food at the expensive place and a lot more food at thisplace depending on our mood. The delivery area is HUGE. They deliver anywhere in Surrey from Cloverdale to Delta. The food isreally tasty but once in awhile you get a bad batch. It's hit or miss, that's why I deducted one star. Read more
We ordered (4) sode orders which we thought were going to be small, when they arrived they were overflowing! I haven't had... Chinese food in a while since the lockdown so we decided to take a chance. Food was tasty and arrived warm through UberEats. We had utensils and sauces added to the bag.
