The best quality sushi around cloverdale/surrey I?ve ever eaten! The salmon belly sashimi was like butter, the tuna is high... quality deliciousness, the tempura is light, flavourful and fried to perfection. Truly amazing food sushi Shun has. Excellent food. The fish is fresh. The squid was by far the star here. We order from them for pickup every few weeks and the... food is always top notch. Even for takeout, the presentation is beautiful. The staff are fabulous and do a very good job atmaking sure everything is just as you order it. Will continue going here. Read more

Pretty good food and pretty good service. There could be improvements. FOOD - Gomaae was OK. Not very authentic. - Takoyaki was... pretty good. - Kids combo was a good deal. My 4yo loved the miso soup. - Hamachi and tuna toro sashimi were pretty good. Fresh.But I feel like depth of flavour was lacking. I don?t know if this has to do with the freshness of fish or the source of thefish. My Japanese friend was surprised that they didn?t serve wasabi with the sashimi. We asked and they brought some right away???????? - Delicious rice. - Saba aburi oshi was disappointing. There was way too much rice, and the flavour was a bit flat.Maybe the other aburi are better? I don?t know. - Tempura was crunchy but the veggies were not very flavourful. Prawns werefresh. - My mom got a seafood soondobu. We all agreed this soondobu was the best dish of the dinner. (Makes sense as this is aKorean-owned restaurant) SERVICE - I asked them to turn down the music and they did that for us right away, which was nice. -When my friend made the reservation, she specifically requested a high-chair, and when she called right before the reservationtime to confirm, she said again that a baby was coming. But when we arrived, they didn?t get the high chair and then it wasgiven to another table that arrived later so we didn?t have one to use. Not a big deal but just a small inconvenience. -Washroom has a nice design but was not maintained. Toilet paper was super close to running out (even though there are 2 holders)and we had to take a new one out from the cabinet for the next person, and garbage was overflowing with paper towels. Makes moresense if the restaurant were super busy but it was not busy the whole evening (we were there from 5pm to almost 8pm). - FYIWashroom is small, no diaper station. Read more

Came here for sushi but decided to try the Raman instead. For a restaurant that only has a handful of Raman offerings I must say... I was impressed. The Raman was fairly cheap too. The chicken karaage was also a happy surprise because it's the first restaurantin forever that offers a dip with it. The only real downside was the server never came to the table to ask if we needed anythingand the second time we were there we asked for tea but never got it.
