Today was my first time trying this restaurant. I had drunken noodle and tom kha kai. The soup was very sad. I asked whether... they made it themselves and they said yes. I've had the soup in Thailand as well as Chamblee/Dunwoody and this didn't taste orlook like either. And of course now my belly is fussing. Sad. Noodles of drunken noodles were very overcooked. There is limited parking available by the restaurant, it can get busy during peak hours. It’s pretty close to the Assi... plaza. Very casual dining, only indoor seating available. A fair selection of Chinese and Thai food available. Only a fewother table were there when we went for dinner. So we were seated right away and service was pretty fast too. Thai tea: tasteddelicious! Not too sweet which I appreciated. Potstickers: very crispy, more on the lighter seasoning for the filling. Tom yumsoup with chicken: if you like sour/more acidic flavor, this is the perfect soup for you! Not spicy, although you can ask for myspice. I do wish the soup was actually boiling…but it was at least warm. Spicy Thai Spaghetti with shrimp: we got 3 out of 5for spicy level. It had a hint of spicy but the bell pepper sweetness balanced it out. The shrimp felt a littleundercooked. Panang curry with pork: also got a level 3, but this definitely had more of a kick to it! For the past three times I’ve been to this place, their glasses always had lipstick and lips stains on it and their forks were... not properly washed. My friends and I would have to request a straw or avoid drinking from their dishes to enjoy the meal. Inext two times I went it was the same experience. I don’t ever write reviews, but the fact that this has happen three times ina row is concerning. I didn’t take pictures the first two times, but the third time I decided this was my last time eatinghere and need to write a review about it. Read more
Talay Thai did a wonderful job catering for my wedding from when we found them to the day of. Novi was responsive and offered... the best service. She was flexible with us when we had to postpone due to Covid. When my husband and I were looking for thaifood that catered, Talay Thai had the best price and most delicious food. We were so impressed when we went in the first time totry it out. On the day of wedding, they did not disappoint (especially for such a big order). The flavor was still there! We dida pick-up and the food was ready, on time, and the food was still warm when we served it at the wedding... Lets me know it wasfreshly made! Finally decided to stop by & try it out. Papaya salad & dumplings for appetizers. PAD SEE SEW & PRIK KING for entrees. If... you're in the area & craving Thai/Chinese I would recommend. It wasn't 5 start worthy but was good enough to check out. Read more
The coconut soup is one of the best in the area. I also love the basil chicken. Their lunch specials are well priced. The food... is really fresh and great quality. My only complaint is that everything is a little too sweet for me. I'd come here just for thesoup, basil chicken amd thai iced coffee though. The fried spring and fresh spring rolls are also really good. Worth it. Read more
