Went there Thursday. We had a wonderful dinner of swordfish and oysters. Beautiful inside and outside. After dinner we went out... back and listened to a wonderful band until 11pm. A very fun night! Read more

Wonderful place to eat...we loved it. Had kabobs and shrimp. Delicious. From out of town and couldn't have been more pleased... with the whole experience. But, the best part was our server, Addie. She made the experience over the top. Thank you, Addie andall those at Bernie's. P.S. Happy pre-Birthday! Read more

Can I please tell you what an absolute gangster I felt like eating Ogeechee style oysters and a juicy steak in this historic... Dixie town? It used to be called Paris! Sure. Coca-Cola can't supply me with the CO2, which is out for locally owned businessesneed right now, but those clever girls running the place took the bubbly right out of the draft beer and put it to the sodamachine and made it extra bubbly! This whole staff is working to make delicious meals and experiences, all the natural redheadson staff are MAGICAL! I will go back at least a dozen times before the year is out! Read more

Excellent food and very busy, this is the place to eat in Swainsboro! Try the bacon wrapped oysters and shrimp and grits, and... the cheesecake. The cheesecake is much lighter than normal cheesecake. Read more

Berni's has been on my radar since the recommendation of a local antiques shop owner told us about it, so when we got the chance... we jumped at it. Berni's is in a cool location with plenty of parking in front and across the street in the square, it is an oldbuilding with a real cool layout. The booths are somewhat enclosed so your not bothered by those around you, the tables in thecenter are distanced well enough apart and there is an outdoor seating area as well. The kitchen is enclosed in glass so you cansee everything that goes on in there if you choose to do so.We had Ashlyn as our server and she was able to answer all of myquestions and gave excellent recommendations with solid reasonings behind them. We got warm dinner rolls with a creamy honeybutter that were a great start to the meal. I started with the bacon wrapped oysters that has a unique dipping sauce that looksbut is not spicy. For my entrée I chose the steak sandwich with the prime rib instead of the ribeye option, it comes with aujus that was delicious and not salty like most seem to be. For my side I had the fried okra that was good and not overlybreaded. My friend got the Creamy chicken gnocchi special that he said was amazing. We went to Berni's on a Friday night at 6 atnight with every booth full, the outside seating was full of high schoolers headed to prom and we waited for nothing. Our orderswere taken promptly, drinks and food came quickly and just as we had ordered. My hats off to the Berni's kitchen and wait stafffor a job well done. I can assure you that we will be back!
