So I would say that this is an upscale waffle house I like my food very much . My husband had the ribeye platter and it hit the... spot. I am not sure if this huddle house is new, or I just have never noticed it here, but the food here was absolutely delicious! My... husband ordered a steak, and it was a little over cooked for his liking but he said the flavor was delicious. I myself had thebiscuit and gravy and it was pretty good. It reminds me of Hardee's biscuit and gravy. This place was super packed to wherethere really wasn't any tables available, but the staff was attentive and very friendly for how busy it was! Read more
Every time I come here I am always greeted with the friendliest people, not just the wait staff, but everyone I come in contact... with, including other customers. The food is always top notch, better than I would have prepared at home myself. Had one smallproblem one time, but told my server and that problem has never repeated itself. We arrived and ordered iced tea and was told during our order that they were completely out of hamburger meat. We both ordered... the rib eye steak, one with shrimp. The steaks were long and very thin, about 1/4 inch. My serving of mashed potatoes was lessthan child size but our waitress, Kat, was very nice and brought me another serving. We've eaten here several times and it hasalways been great but this visit we were disappointed. The food had no flavoring and the steak was definitely what I would callbreakfast thin. The restaurant is always clean and we get good service. Usually the restaurant is packed but only had a fewcustomers. I would eat breakfast there but my husband said that he would not eat there again. The meal was $40 and while weknow that Huddle House is typically a breakfast restaurant, if they serve steak dinners, it should at least be good steak. While I know very well what it is like to be short staffed, business booming, and not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel... anywhere insight, I will not now or ever condone the customer service I experienced. I know I?m a tough crowd to impress withstandards far above the normal, but this was inexcusably the worst experience. I will just add that kind words, anapologetic/sympathetic attitude, and a smiling face go a long way. It?s Christmas. I placed an order online that quoted 16minutes i arrived 18 past promised time. I stood within 18 inches of 1 and 3 feet of 4 to 5 other employees for over 6 minutesfor someone to acknowledge my presence. If I hadn?t paid online I?d be out the door by now. Finally over 6 minutes into myvisit I?m acknowledged and helped she said sorry once and went on. They found my food about 7 more minutes later. I specificallyasked for untensils napkins and such things I know are expensive that?s why you request and not expect them. I finally get home$50 down the drain and I?m excited to surprise my family which I never spend time with, with Christmas breaks fast. Well thisstarts next issue one meal was half eaten with 2 sausage Pattie?s so burnt and dried out my dog ran from them, fries undercookedno seasoning, waffles half the normal size, and a burger,thank goodness was ordered for dog, that again he said no thank you,that was so raw I took pictures?. Then comes 2 untensil packs for 5 meals, no napkins, no butter and 2 syrup for 3 meals. Tothink I stopped Just to get cash for a tip as google pay didn?t list option I could see. Great food and excellent service! They were quite busy but got us in quickly and the food came quickly as well bacon was done... perfect delicious grits and the eggs were Medium as ordered. The pecan pancakes have a load of pecans in them and it they aredelicious! The staff is very friendly! The tables were wiped down and very wet. And when it dried all the glass marks were stillpresent. Maybe a different sanitizing solution or hotter water and a quick drying cloth would make the table more appetizing.
