This was there last chance. After 2 previous order (consecutive) that were messed up, they managed to fumble my food again.... Italian beef, dipped with hot peppers and mozzarella cheese. Why do I have a plain beef? After waiting for a crew member tochange equipment and take my order a second time, the new equipment doesn't work either. Now the crew member who instructed meto wait and just follow the crew member to the window has to take my order. If it isn't employees showing no interest in takingorders it's the employee completely messing up an order that they take digitally. How? Like seriously, how? Never again. Read more

I very seldom write reviews, especially negative ones, but this location has severely gone down hill. The past few months I... have had several consecutive orders that have been missing large items, poor quality and/or poor packaging. The order Ireceived tonight displayed poor quality, poor service and unprofessionalism. To start, the wait was extremely long. Typical forPortillo's during busy hours but usually followed by fresh, quality food. This order was far from either of those. I placed asimple order, double cheeseburger with ketchup mustard and mayonnaise. When I arrived to the cashier window the attendant readback my order as ketchup, mustard and lettuce. I let the attendant know I ordered mayonnaise, not lettuce. She acknowledged andproceeded to take my payment. Moving to the next window upon receipt of my food the attendant read my order to have lettuce,not mayonnaise. I again stated mayonnaise, not lettuce. The attendant took the food back and returned within a few momentsstating that she had corrected the order and proceeded to hand me my food. When I arrive home, I open the burger box and removethe top bun to find an unreasonable amount of mayonnaise topping the patty along with lettuce. It is obvious that this wasintentionally done. I decided to return back to the restaurant to return the food. The manager was professional and gave me arefund. I am beyond over this location. There is no reason to wait as long as they take, pay the prices they charge, to receivesuch poor quality, disrespect and unprofessional service. Read more
I arrived 5 minutes before their posted closing time and placed an order that included them grilling a burger. They were... polite, gave me no attitude, AND even gave me a free piece of chocolate cake for making me wait for my burger past what theymust have thought was a long time. I was the only one in line, it was closing time, and I half expected to be turned away. None of that happened, PLUS I got a free piece of cake! Seriously? Nope, I'm good! Read more
Everyone told me I had to get Portillos while in Illinois, and now I know why! I was so happy to see veggie dogs on the menu and... to be able to get it Chicago style; that was the best suprise! The dogs were delish and the famous chocolate cake shake was todie for. You can sit down and enjoy the eclectic, maximalist design or get your meal to go pretty quickly. So I am only here for a week...This place was recommended by some friends so I came by...well worth it. I went yesterday to a... fast food chain and paid over $16.00 for a small hamburger and a water and chocolate shake. Portillos...a double baconcheeseburger a water and a Miller Light and was a dollar cheaper...and the burger was good....would recommend eating here. Read more
