Food was delicious. The hand made hashsbrowns very bland, wish they had the seasoned ones in stock. Very slow service on the day... we went. There close to 2 hours only ate for 30 mins. 45 mins before order was taken. Read more
Ordered the omlette special. Nice big serving. Excellent service. My only critique would be the mushrooms. When I make my own... omlettes I sweat off the mushrooms first so they don't make the inside of the omlette really wet and the omlette I was servedhad mushroom juice pooling under it. -1 star girlfriend had the bacon breakfast and wanted her hashbrowns pouteened when she got it it was plain. They took it back... and thrown sauce on everything and eggs where way over done. Food was Great as always, even tho portions much smaller with Steak. But idk if it's from heat wave or more workers needed. The... plastic menus put at tables smelled of spoiled milk, like a dirty cloth was used to wipe them & table, bowls holding creamerought to be refrigerated. They can spoil easily. Read more
Great local breakfast spot serving up excellent food. I've only been for breakfast but always enjoy the Texas Skillet.
I come here once a year at least, every time I visit Cape Breton. The food is ok, all day breakfast is a bonus. Prices are... ok...not too expensive. Portions are huge. Free wi-fi. The items don't look anything like they do on the menu though. Thestaff seem nice enough, overall it's a middle of the road diner, cooks don't seem to put a ton of effort into their work. Read more
