I did not enjoy my experience here. The staff were too panicked and the music performer was too involved with the audience.... Though I gave it 3 stars for one reason, the food. The food is the only thing holding it back from that 1 star review. I got thegarlic shrimp plate that came with rice and beans; it was extraordinary. I had never tasted shrimp that just pop in your mouthand kept popping. It was delicious and words can not describe the feeling I got when I started eating. Now with that being said,the price was WAY too much for what they gave me. I got around 6-8 shrimps on my plate with a small portion of rice and beansand they charged me around ~$26 dollars for the whole thing. I went with my family of 5 and got charged in total ~$300 notincluding tips. We also got appetizers. I understand they have to upcharge for the music which I wouldn't mind if the music wasalso exceptional. The live music was good but not great. They knew how to sing and they knew how to tell side jokes but theydidn't add much to the experience. Overall if you don't care how much you spend this is it. Today, I went to Casa Torres because my daughter wanted enchiladas. I have to express that the service has declined over the... years. The price (over $20) of the food is not worth the quality of the food. Tonight, I asked for corn tortillas with the plateof the Shrimp Rancheros, which, according to the waitress was not spicy, and it was! She didn't bring me the tortillas, andproceeded to ask me again if I wanted them. Geez! I thought maybe she doesn't want me to have tortillas. Today was the last timeI step foot at this place. I ordered oysters. The 1st one I ate looked normal. After I swallowed it and put the shell down there was nothing but black... residue left behind. The small piece that connects the "meat" to the shell was black and when pressed on spewed all blackliquid!!!! The manager came out and said "yes this is bad". Not one apology from him. At least he took it off the bill yet untilI asked to speak to him again and said I would at the very least like an apology he refused and said he yelled at the kitchenstaff. 5 stars for Cuco probably the oldest employee if the place. He makes the best margaritas and his service is always amazing. Had... not been in there for over 15 years Maybe and he still remembered me for the time I used to go often. Looks like they were setting up for Christmas outside. Inside, they haveseating for the restaurant and a bar. TVs inside for any games on Service: great.
