The music was so loud I thought I was in a club instead of a restaurant. The staff instructed us to use the QR code for the menu... and then us know the prices had changed. And when the QR code didn't work we were handed a menu and told the same thing. When weasked what was in a drink or in what we wanted to order the staff had no clue. I've live in Sylmar for almost 4 years and always drive by this place. It's always busy specially on weekends. So my friend... invited me out for a drink on a Wednesday. We got there close to 9 pm. The restaurant closes at 10 pm. We only had like an hourto eat n grab a drink. I must say I wasn't expecting it to be good bc of other reviews I read. Turns out this place is actuallygood. Great vibes good sushi. I had the lazy boy I believe it was big enough for 2 people. I also got 2 beers and amargarita. I definitely will return and try the rest of the menu. If you're not a Spanish speaker or are "in with the staff", then you will have a less than best time. You will wait longer for... your drinks, longer for your food, even longer for your check. Sushi bar seaters beware: 1 star for quality staff, especiallyfor a manager that all he does is apologize and then explain in the best broken english with no resolve as to why he hasdisrespectful staff. Pretty faces and ex cons should really try to be more professional when on the clock. 1 star for thesushi. The sushi deserves better treatment than on the hands of these gross charging wannabe and unprofessional sushi chefs. Read more
The food here is delicious! The Lobster Roll was teeming with lobster and was very flavorful. The Spicy Octopus Tempura Roll was... also superb, I was truly impressed. I will definitely get these two rolls again. The Hubbard Roll was also pretty good. Thedrinks are also great! I tried the Orange Pomegranate Margarits which was splendid, one of the best drinks I have tasted. I hadno problems with customer service, the food didn't take too long and the waiter checked in on us at good intervals. Read more
Xevichez is a favorite restaurant of mine since early 21st century. I recommend it to anyone on their day off since they do... serve alcohol. Their sushi is amazing and fresh. It has a sports bar feel because sports and sports news are always on. I amtrying something different than sushi today. That is the 7 Mares Soup. I enjoy the music and most of the customer service isamazing. If you do not like your waiter you can request a new one. The wait time for the waiter is short. The food is well doneso you might have to wait a little longer for the food. Read more
It's a great place! It's a little pricey but the quality of the food makes it worthwhile! It's so good that it's usually very... busy so I recommend that you order take out on weekends and only dine in on weekdays when it's less busy. Be warned that there'salways loud music & people there so don't expect much conversation to be going on. As for the food, it's always delicious. Thechefs are very talented and experienced, their dishes are always so beautiful & artistic looking that sometimes I feel badeating them. Overall it's a great place to eat and one I highly recommend! Our family had an excellent meal here to wrap up a birthday weekend. Our party of 7 ordered the gyoza, shrimp tempura,... aguachiles, and shamu appetizers, the Hurricane, Hubbard, Crunch, shrimp tempura, Jalapeño rolls, beef stir-fry, and shrimpramen.
