I got a sweet tea and a bacon and cheddar omelette, added spinach, and seasoned potatoes. The sweet tea was great. The omelette... was amazing and had a good egg-to-fillings ratio. The seasoned potatoes were interesting because they were powerfully seasoned, but dipping them in ketchup helped ease their strong flavor. They were crispy. The service was really nice and the overall vibesof the location are comfortable and welcoming. This is definitely a great spot for breakfast or brunch, and this will be alocation I suggest to people when they come and visit me! Read more

I?m so glad that I finally stopped in Sylva after driving past the town for years while visiting the Smokies. We found Lucy in... the Rye in the center of the quaint, nostalgic Main Street. It?s a cool old building with a welcoming hippie vibe. Our serverwas very helpful and attentive. My corned beef has omelette was loaded with chunks of the corned beef. The sides of grits androsemary potatoes were perfectly prepared. After such a positive experience I can?t wait to return. ????? Read more

If you're visiting the smokies and looking for an authentic high end small town brunch experience this is the place for you. I... ordered the steak and eggs dish and everything from the biscuits and grits to the eggs was exactly as I expected. Not to mentionthe service here is exceptional! We were immediately seated, orders taken as soon as we were ready and food came out within10-15 minutes after that, with no indications that any shortcuts were taken in the kitchen. In the meantime we were also serveddrinks and topped off as soon as we needed. Also not only do they seem to have more coffee flavors than Starbucks but if you askfor a little less sweet they can actually deliver. You should definitely try the toasted marshmallow. I almost consideredgiving 4 stars because the cheesy grits were served with full pieces of shredded cheese layered on top. However, the grits wereclearly cooked with cheese already and the shredded cheese was more of a garnish. Not what I think garnish should be on grits, but they still tasted good. Definitely coming back. Read more

Had breakfast here and later the same day attendees a wedding reception here. Both were excellent. The waffles so light and... fluffy, the biscuits were great, and we also enjoyed the chopped steak! Read more

This place is absolutely amazing. Over the years, my wife and I have compared every breakfast with a particular restaurant in... Southern California. No place has ever matched up to our favorite little diner. Lucy in the rye is the first restaurant toexceed our expectations for breakfast. From the waffles to the huevos rancheros, everything was incredible. It was cookedperfectly, served hot, and best of all? the staff was absolutely amazing. We had so much fun while we were there. If the placewasn?t 600 miles away from where I live, I would get up and go back for breakfast tomorrow morning. Read more

I happened to stop in Sylva on my way out of the mountains and just picked this place at random to get some breakfast. I'm so... glad I did! The food is excellent and the service is top notch. They were extremely busy when I was there and yet my food didn'ttake more than 15-20min. I had a waffle with scrambled eggs and sausage. Everything was cooked perfectly. My waitress was lovelyand attentive. I will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area. Read more

My fiancé and I went on a lunch date recently and chose to finally go to Lucy in the Rye. Best choice ever! The staff were... friendly and gave excellent suggestions. The food was amazing and freshly prepared. Our overall experience was absolutelyfantastic. We can't wait to go eat at Lucy in the Rye again! I had a sausage and cheese omelet, rosemary potatoes, and cheesygrits. My fiancé had the crab cake burger, rosemary potatoes, cheesy grits, and mixed fruits (chilled and freshly sliced). Weboth ordered a glass of their fresh squeezed orange juice and that was, literally, the best orange juice I have ever had. Weboth loved it and we certainly enjoyed our food! Don't miss an opportunity to eat at an amazing local restaurant with fantasticfood and service! We are definitely going back again. ???????? Read more
