Overall disappointing. What food was there was good. My husband ordered the 8 oz steak with shrimp. A tiny little steak with... some shrimp & a baked potato showed up, no veggies. (The waitress hadn't bothered to tell us it was the special therefore themeal was smaller). Terrible service. The waitresses were much more concerned with chatting with their friends than doing theirjobs. We won't be back. Read more
Food is very good and mostly consistent. Service is okay, depending on the day. A lot of interesting and delicious menu items, a... large selection of craft beer. Lodge 43 is a staple in the community. A must try with great food and fair prices! Read more
We drove a half hour into town on bad roads just to have brunch here a week or 2 a go. My food was outstanding, my husbands was... missing ingredients but they did replace it with the correct order, didnt charge for my kids orange juice so I will just assumethat was their way of making up for the mistake. The food is amazing here! Wing night is awesome, best wings in town. Love the daily specials, and so much variety on the... menu. The service is friendly and usually spot on, however if it gets busy , service slows right down and you may have to waveover your server for deink refills ect and ask for your bill a few times. But other then that, it's a really great atmosphereand restaurant. I highly recommend checking out there wing night on Wednesdays! Read more
I will preface this by saying the restaurant was busy tonight. Oilers game and wing night. I ordered the Steak and shrimp, my... girlfriend ordered the calamari. A starter Caesar salad came out after about 40 minutes (again it was busy). The main courseanother 20 minutes or so after. The calamari tasted freezer burnt and she couldn't finish. My steak (which was supposed to bemedium rare) was blue - they did offer to put it back on the grill after I had it for about 1/2 hour. The mashed potatoes had acrunch to them. And the vegetables were both over and undercooked depending on the type of vegetable. The soda water (the onlything I like to drink) was flat. While it was busy when I went in, the food was quite terrible and the service - maybe due to abusy night was well below average. I wouldn't go back. I feel bad for the servers. Wasn't all their fault. They discountedmy meal greatly but the place left quite a negative impression on me. I wouldn't go back despite the deep discount mostlybecause of the food. Read more
Ordered "full rack of succulent baby back ribs braised to fall-off-the-bone perfection". I got still pink, half cooked, inedible... slab of ribs. Could not eat at all. Had ordered least expensive wine. Ribs taken off the bill, I never had dinner, and wascharged for most expensive wine on menu. I am local resident, and will never set foot in the place again. Life is always full of surprises. Sometimes, the stars will align perfectly and you will be graced with a restaurant/pub that... exceeds all expectations. For all those who have not experienced this gem in Sylvan Lake, I implore you to give it a chance. Thefood is exceptional (burgers made in house, just for starters. Fellow foodies/chefs will know why this is so crucial), serviceis phenomenal, and the atmosphere is inviting. I've been coming here for years, and will continue to as long as the doors areopen. 10/10 Read more
